Unreal curry house. Visited with friends yesterday and had an excellent experience. We had chicken pakoras and onion bhaji for starters with the dressing and salad on the side. Mains were chicken Karachi and meatballs. garlic naan was so fresh with chapatis. I cannot recommend this place enough. Service is high with staff being friendly and engaging.

Best curry in Bradford, lovely homely atmosphere and the taste of homemade food and fantastic value for money can highly recommend the meat spinach karahi, a house speciality and also rogan josh and mixed starter, spicy and good value 👌

Food top notch(always needs a bit of salt for my liking, but that's just me!). Meat karai is basically the same as the rick stein special, but cheaper! I've been going there for years. It may be just me but it it always seems better during the day. Service is fine. No airs and graces. Also the atmosphere is err... No atmosphere, dead basic, like a pub you like because it's so unselfconscious... But it won't be to everyone's liking. They only started giving you knoves and forks about 20 years ago. Before that you ate your curry with the 3 chappattis that come with it. Unbeatable for me.

Our first Bradford curry and wow. I wanted old school and got it, no frills, no cutlery, no alcohol, no fancy surroundings. What you do get it fantastic food and experience. Chicken and spinach Karahi , meat bhuna, chapatis, mixed starter all first class. Quantity matched quality and fab value for money.

We were in the area for a long weekend break. This restaurant was recommended to us as it was the oldest restaurant in Bradford. We went on a Saturday evening and immediately got a seat as it was not busy. We were quickly seen to and ordered kebab sandwich (a steal at £1.50) battered mushrooms, chicken spinach Karahi, meat ball peas and pilau rice, we skipped naan as it was already supplied with chappatis. It doesn’t serve booze so we had mango lassi which was nice. Other reviews mention food coming out of order, well if you go to Wagamamas you get that there too, it didn’t affect us as we do not stand on ceremony. The food was tasty, with some heat but not too much to take away the taste. It may have been surfing the coat tails of a Rick Stein recommendation a bit too much but I guess in a crowded market you go for any advantage you can get. It may be in need of a touch up on the decor and some fresher menus but that added to its heap & cheerful charm, you won’t get shiny metal bowls, hot towels or flock wallpaper here. Overall, cheap and nice food, with some dishes I hadn’t tried before.

We had lamb and prawn Biriyani. Which was very good. Plenty of prawns and meat, well spiced. The sauce comes separate to the Biriyani and there’s plenty of it. Great taste and we enjoyed it.

Visited Friday afternoon with my brother I had meat and spinach Karahi with mixed starters Steve had meat Bhuna with mince both served with chapati I-Would have liked a bit more tomato and onion with the yogurt. Other than that it was an excellent meal very tasty and well presented by an organised team. Spacious and clean not crowded at this time, all in the price of £28 was very acceptable I would recommend this jewel of Bradford.

One of the oldest curry shops in Bradford and still one of the best. Don't dress for dinner and don't expect to pay a fortune. Cheap and very cheerful. And very tasty. Someone has suggested that the Karachi is somehow riding on the back of Rick Stein, how totally silly is that? The Karachi was open when Rick Stein was still at school and it will still be open when he's in his luxury old folks' home. Read the reviews!

Brilliant place, been going for absolutely years. Go every Wednesday with my mate Maurice. My only problem is it closes early around 9 o'clock. However I think they open at 11- 00 am. So cart really fault them. Lovely curry's. .
