We had a family meal on Sunday which consisted of 9 people, one a toddler. The table was in the right part of the pub to allow the little one to have some room. Service was excellent although we had to wait quite a while for our food to arrive. Two people had the Sunday roast and said it was excellent. My turbot was well cooked and the smashed potatoes really tasty. Nice atmosphere and nice surroundings, will be back sometime.

I've never been to the Stansfield Arms before. But straight off the bat, I have to say the staff were great, attentive, and smiling and never in a rush. My Starter was Muscles in a white source, but I like my muscles just plain steamed, which the chef very obligingly did for me. My main course was Steak&Ale Pie, with a choice of green vegetables, beautifully cooked parsnips, served with deep golden brown chips, along with a rich beef gravy. I'd say the chips were the best I've ever eaten. Coming back to the pie, contained in crusty pastry, the steak was tender, no suspicious chewy bits either. The pie was superb. Our experience at the Stansfield Arms was excellent, service and food excellent. We'll certainly be coming here again. Highly recommended.

Not a bad place but also not great… we booked a 5pm dinner table, was gobsmacked that they had run out of certain menu items.. so what was meant to be a Sunday roast turned into a mixture of Italian and fish and chips… Starters were good, drinks menu and selection was a good choice… but mains and desserts was a let down due to running out… Would visit again, but just for drinks, a lot better places

We cannot praise The Stansfield enough. Our Golden Wedding celebration yesterday was faultless. Matthew and Izzie looked after our every need in the most efficient and professional manner. There were 34 of us and everyone thought it was wonderful. The food was fantastic, exactly as ordered, on time, hot and delicious. The tables were set out exactly as we wanted and we were all made to feel most welcome. We have been eating here for over 50 years now and highly recommend The Stansfield. Thank you for making our celebration so special x

Popular pub restaurant with a huge amount of character and good food. Free on-site parking and close to the railway station (which has good links to Leeds). The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a table for 16 people in advance and it was ready when we arrived. At the end of the meal we all paid separately which the staff were happy to accommodate without any fuss. This was my second visit and I would definitely go back again.

Came for a meal with my mum and sisters. 12/4/24 We all had the pie of the day, choice of steak and ale or chicken, leak and ham. Absolutely delicious and very generous portions. Our waitress, Morgan, was extremely friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Compliments to her and the chef. Will definitely come for another meal here. Would give 10 stars if I could ⭐️

Wow this place surprised me! It has changed a lot since I visited about ten years ago and I am looking forward to returning again. The service was exceptional the waiting and kitchen staff were so friendly and helpful. The menu has lots of gluten free options but we asked if two starters could be adapted which the chefs were happy to do. My friend and i shared the beetroot and prawn starter. They were both absolutely delicious! So so tasty ! We both had the cheese beef burger , asked for one with no bacon and one gluten free. We also upscaled them to have sweet potato wedges and parmesan fries! The burger was very tasty and juicy, the toppings worked so well in the burgers. The portion of sweet potato wedges was huge and cooked well. The parmesan fries were just yummy! Obviously no pudding after that lot! The restaurant can accommodate wheel chair users, and mobility aids. They were all set up for young children too. The toilets were clean and maintained. There is a great outdoor area at the front of the building. With a recent extension to the car park there are plenty of spaces. We cannot wait to return.

The Stansfield put on a wonderful spread for my late mother‘s wake last month. There are various buffet options to choose from depending on the price per head you wish to go with. There’s lots of delicious options like mini roast beef Yorkshire puddings, chicken and/or mushroom vol au vents, individual pork or other meat filled pies, potato and pasta salads and not just sandwiches. I was able to swap out items to suit our needs. For instance I swapped out one of the savoury options for a sweet choice which the pub are more than happy to do for you. For the price paid our buffet was excellent value for money. The food really was of high quality, very generous in quantity and so many of our party commented on how delicious it all tasted. Any leftovers can be stored in their fridge until you’re ready to leave and taken home in takeaway containers. We were allocated the raised seating area at the far end of the pub which gave us plenty of space to chat and mingle between our party. The pub has a warm atmosphere and was the perfect place to celebrate my mother’s life. There’s plenty of parking available and it’s well located in between Leeds and Bradford. It was the top choice for us as we already knew first hand that the Stansfield had an excellent reputation and my parents loved their regular visits to the pub for many years. I can’t recommend The Stansfield highly enough as their hospitality is of the highest standard. They went above and beyond to ensure all our catering needs were more than fully met and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Matthew, Nick, Paul and all the staff who did our family and friends proud on the day xx
