We went here for lunch yesterday, our first visit. We were not disappointed.
All four meals served were very well cooked. The choices on the menu were varied and there was something for everyone.
It was great to see an old style Corned Beef Square, served with chunky chips and mushy peas.
Two of our party that had them said they were very tasty.
I had the roasted salmon, crushed potatoes and veg. Very good indeed.
The other diner had the Royal Pie, which was a very generous portion and was also delicious.
Prices are very fair, the staff very friendly, service was very good and the place was comfortably decorated.
Now we know about the food at The Royal, we will certainly visit again.
A 'Hidden Gem'�
We have been going to the Royal at Low Moor for a couple of years now and we have never been disappointed. The food is excellent great value, staff are pleasant and obliging, highly recommend.

A good Sunday Lunch, huge portions so lots of food for a decent price. The full menu is available as well as a choice of up to 3 meats in your roast dinner. TVs and music on creating atmosphere but not loud or distracting. Lovely staff doing a great job. Cash preferred but card payment available.
Just had an amazing meal with my mum, sisters and nephew.

Although the end of terrace stone building opposite an industrial site with mismatched decor and furniture appeared unpromising we went because of good reviews. The homemade food was really good, using high quality ingredients and generous portions. The beers and cider are well kept. A fair amount of parking space outside. Would highly recommend.
We arrived early, but the table was ready. I had the chicken parmo with chips. It was delicious and gluten free, so perfect for me. I ate the lot and could have licked the plate. Please pass my compliments to the chef. The service was excellent thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. I came with a friend for a catch up. We didn't feel under pressure to leave. I will definitely eat here again.
We enjoyed a fantastic meal, for a special family birthday which the staff were amazingly accommodating about. The staff are lovely, really friendly. The food is fantastic, we were blown away by it. Its a real hidden gem and we'll definitely be returning.

Visited today 24th February with my son and his girlfriend. We had the 10oz steak we don't like ut rare so the waiter was explaining which was the best way to have it cooked. When he brought them they were cooked to perfection and no fat (which I loved!) It was just pure steak you didn't have any fat to cut off. My sons girlfriend had the lamb cutlets and again it was perfectly cooked but it's also the presentation too all the dishes were presented perfectly. It was getting busy but the service was really good and our drinks were quickly brought to us. Will definitely come again
Came here on Sunday for lunch with my friend. Absolutley delicious. The staff are very nice and welcoming. I had the creamy garlic mushrooms...best ever! Then the roast beef and then rhubarb and apple crumble. We sat outside afterwards enjoying a drink in the sunshine. Lovley place to go with friends and family or for a cosy meal for 2.
Been twice and got the steak pie both times. Excellent quality, really well cooked. Doesn't look anything special from outside but well worth it. They treat the ale well too

The Royal food is outstanding… way better than your average pub food. The ale and wine is also excellent. Would highly recommended 👍👍👍
Didn't know this place existed and you gave to be on your toes to find it but it's worth it. The food service and atmosphere were great. We will return. Highly recommended 👍
