Having visited Bradford a few times, I've continuously been recommended Shimlas as something that would be worth trying. Turns out, all the recommendations were right. Though we ordered what seemed to be their fastest moving items (the chicken Doner) which was asked to be made in the take-away style, it was a combination of the perfect amount of meat, veggies, hot naan, and boy-oh-boy the best kind of garlic and chilli sauces. The mix of tastes was amazing!
Alongside this, we also ordered the lamb chops which were really really cooked to perfection and the masala on it was amazing!
Also ordered the choco heaven drink which was great again if you need a good change in taste for dessert. It's heavy though, so I'd recommend sharing the drink and avoid filling yourself up with the drink.
Ambiance was nice and clean and the restaurant was buzzing with people.
Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for nice Pakistani food.
Best place I have ever ate. One of Bradford's best restaurant, not as famous as other's Mumtaz, Akbar's etc but much better food than any of them.
Having ate chicken shawarma's (Shimla's Call it Chicken donner) in most middle eastern countries and also having ate it in Greece where it is very popular named Gyros in Greece.
I have to say Shimla's do the best Chicken Shawarma (Chicken Donner) in the World.
Oh also try their Milkshakes best I have personally had.
Food was pretty decent and the portions were good size too...
Chicken wings used to be very tasty and juicy before but I think most of the food was prepared in advance as the service was quite quick....
We were told to wait 45 minutes but the food arrived within 15 minutes...
Overall it was a good experience would definitely come back....

The food is normally nice here, especially the fish. However they had a new dish chicken stir fry with cheese and unfortunately that wasn't very nice. It tasted sweet which isn't what your looking for when your having a main. And there wasn't much in it except it was topped up by onions. But wouldn't order this again. Masala fish was on point and the sauces are always amazing.
Both Amir and Qamar were amazing. Thoroughly served us and gave us great customer service. Will deffo recommend and great price for food which was delicious. The curry was the best part. Didn’t have any mango lassi left so bless them still made us the little bit they had left. Amazing service. 5***** 😊
I used to visit this place regularly between 1995-1999, back then the food was much better. Now it’s ok. The last few times I’ve been the lamb meat has been too chewy/ too fatty and not the best tasting, same goes for the chicken donner. . Mango lassi is still nice tho. Nice clean place with lots of seating. I feel though the service has gone downhill over the years. But given this a 4 star based on its former glory.

The place feels cozy and fancy. The people there are super nice and make sure you're happy. And the food? Oh man, it's so good! Every dish tastes awesome and looks great too. If you love good food, you gotta try here. 💯

Really enjoyed the food, the portions were larger than I expected. Iqra gave us brilliant customer service, my niece was unsettled, she came and gave her a lollipop to help her calm down. The food arrived quite quick.

Exceptional service. So quick, high quality and very intuitive staff that looked out for our needs. We had our 5 month old and they were extremely accomodating in trying to make us comfortable, when we trying different things.
So grateful this place is open untill 3 am. We were travelling and it took us a while to get everything together and eventually get out

Ordered a take out this time of there special chicken seeks kebab with naan. I had to wait 30 mins approx. However the food was great as usual. I think they only have 1 kitchen for their restaurant and for takeouts. Will visit again.

I think they call the lamb donner a seekh kebab but double check.
Had fish prawns they were nice.
Didn't like the wings coating was nice the wings tasted a bit boiler type.
