Lovely country pub with the drinks selection of a city bar. Prices can be high and food is not served until late, but overall a nice alternative to the noisy pubs in the town. With an added bonus that this pub is dog-friendly and serves gluten free ales.
Blinding selection of Ales, almost as good as the reception and service we received.
Although quite when we were there, top marks for being a dog friendly pub and if your a dog lover you'll need a very big stick to beat this place. LOVED IT
We had take away fish and chips - a haddock, cod and sea bass - and they were fantastic. So very tasty. A pot of proper tat tar sauce was included with each. Portion sizes were very good. They even me later that evening to make sure the food was ok.

Nice pub, little worn round the edges but warm and welcoming. Nice draft ales available, outdoor area for smokers and nicer weather and dog friendly.
Great little local. Friendly staff. Sometimes a little wait at the bar but it's worth the wait. Food is fantastic. Piping hot and great quality. Our 2 dogs are always made welcome with plenty of treats for them at the bar. Good selection of real ales to keep the hubby happy.
My husband and I went here for lunch today. The sun was shining so we decided to eat outside. The eating area was tastefully done with wooden benches which were clean and socially distanced too. We ordered drinks and I had a ploughmans and my husband ordered a prawn sandwich served with fries.

Great evening for a birthday celebration - very dog friendly, great food and drink, and mein host is a cabaret! But beyond the banter he arranged a special heater to ensure Grandma was warm enough - we'll be back!
Absolutely love this pub! We’ve been visiting regularly for a good few months now. Clive and the rest of the team are very friendly, Clive is a great laugh and very generous, chatty landlord. They always have at least 2-3 ales on, not just Greene King but local ones too occasionally. Monday evening
A group of 6 plus two doggies dined here for Sunday lunch and it was superb. The food was amazing, we shared starters, the main was a great portion & dessert was fab too. Staff were really friendly & welcoming. Will be going back.
Hadn't been for a little while but, went tonight for wife's birthday. Reminded again just how welcoming this pub is. Absolutely great good and service. Love it here.
Came here for Sunday lunch with friends and their dogs. A doggy friendly pub with some excellent roasts which were worth the prices. A good selection of ales too if that’s your bag.
