Absolutely lovely tea room. Very quaint and chocolate box. Beautiful, spacious garden. Ideal for afternoon tea in the Summer months. The owners and staff were wonderfully polite and attentive. We hired the small tea room which seats up to 12 for a surprise birthday gathering. The room was decorated and the most mouth-watering chocolate birthday cake was baked. The food is delicious. I can highly recommend Bracklesham Bay Tea Room for an any occasion. We will look forward to re-visiting soon.
Went today with a party of 8 and was extremely pleased with the service and politeness of staff, the quality and selection of food was also fantastic, would highly recommend this place and it's beautiful gardens. We will definitely be back to this little gem.
Beautiful tea room and garden, very polite and friendly service and fantastic food! The scones and cakes were scrumptious and my two children said their cheese and ham toastie was the best ever - and my 9 year old son said the prawn sandwich he had was "epic!!" Big thumbs up from the four of us - we will definately be back and will recommend you to our friends.
Went yesterday for tea and cake and it was lovely! Definitely recommend the chocolate cake. Staff were so attentive and welcoming! Definitely recommend and will be returning very soon!!
Beautiful find. Excellent afternoon tea, scones were to die for. All served in the delightful garden. Lovely to chat to the owner to hear about the history of the cottage and their plans for the Summer season x
After a cold Novembers morning stroll on the beautiful beach, Bracklesham Bay Tea Rooms was the perfect place to warm through with a delicious hot chocolate. We also decided to have a light lunch and all opted for jacket potatoes, which was served with a fresh side salad.
The staff are all very nice, and the owners Joanne and Ian are some of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet. There was a vast choice of beautiful cakes, and they were more than happy for us to take a couple away to have later. We cannot wait to go back again!!
We were lucky enough to go along to the Tea Rooms on the day it opened!! and were so impressed! the place looks immaculate, the food delicious, and cakes looked amazing! although we didn't have room for cake this time, but this gives us an excuse to go back again. Ian and Joanne are very welcoming, and we were happy to see many of the tables were occupied. Can't wait for our next visit. Well done everyone. xxx
Lovely breakfast and lovely friendly staff would definitely recommend.
Wishing you every success
Went with my family and sat outside in the beautiful garden, service was quick and the food was delicious, and at very reasonable prices. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family visiting the area and will hopefully go again myself in the future!
Had a lovely full english breakfast with my daughter today would fully recommend it and will be back x
Beautiful building, fantastic food and really helpful to accommodate us a wheelchair. Will definitely use the Bracklesham tea rooms regularly.
Great service and food , if you haven't been you should go. We look forward to going back and sampling more of Joanne' s homemade cakes and sitting by the fire in the near future.
There is lots of homemade hot and cold food on menu as well as daily specials.
Best cake ever ( coffee and wallnut) . Great selection , lovely place.
Lovely quaint building with great food, great service, and a lovely garden.
A perfect little tea room, best experienced outdoors on a sunny day when one can relax and enjoy the ambiance. The food is excellent and the service wonderfully unhurried and friendly (be prepared for a wait when busy). Best to book to avoid disappointment.
This is the second time we have been, booked a table for three for Afternoon Tea, reasonable priced and a very pleasant setting.
Popped in for breakfast at 11:40 but finished 11:30 so went for the Prawn sandwiches which were delicious! Will be back to try the Breakfast ‘afternoon tea’ & the special
Lovely tea room, beautiful gardens and friendly and welcoming staff.
I visited today with a minibus of ladies from a residential care home in Chichester, they all loved the cakes and all mentioned the lovely gardens, beautiful flowers and relaxed atmosphere. They all want to come back and try different cakes. 😊❤️
A wonderful little Tea Room and a must visit. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we loved what we ordered. We would definitely come back if in the area again.
Myself and two friends had afternoon tea here today it was one of the best we've had. The food was lovely, we sat in the pretty garden, the staff were friendly and it was reasonably priced. Definitely will return
Beautiful garden to sit in. Helpful staff with our wheelchair user who found the pebbles hard to crosse plentiful afternoon tea. Good value for money. Well presented.definitely will come back
Me and my husband had the Clifford’s Cottage Afternoon Tea. It was amazing, best afternoon tea we have had. Lovely fresh sandwiches, scones, cakes, sausage rolls, quiche and vegetable sticks. The tea rooms are beautiful and the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend!
If you like Afternoon tea in pleasant surroundings. friendly but attentive Staff as well as dog friendly then come here. It’s probably the best place I’ve been to for some time. The selection was excellent and the dogs get special treats also. The only problem is it has a small parking space but it’s not the proprietor’s fault so don’t let this worry customers. Would like to visit this place again.
What a beautiful tea room and garden. Our first and definitely not our last visit. On arrival feeling dubious about going to a restaurant after 3 months due to the coronovirus we decided as it had an outdoor garden we would give it a go.
We were greeted by very friendly staff who were wearing masks and visor and the kitchen staff too.
Our food was delicious and the best scones ever!!
Their cleanliness is superb as they cleaned and disinfected the chairs and tables after each guest left.
Cannot wait to come even worth the 1 1/2 hour drive just to sit in the garden.
Ordered afternoon tea for two the day before. Booking was confirmed within a few hours. They didn't mind we were 30 minutes late. Food was brought within 15 minutes of sitting down. Selection of sandwiches. Scones and cakes. Sandwiches were nice, albeit sparce on the filling. And two pieces of bread between the filling was definitely a bit much. There should be a choice of healthier bread alternatives. Scones were delicious. Especially the cottage cream. Cakes felt a bit bland. I've definitely tasted better. Especially the raspberry one. Overall a tasty experience. The best bit was the beautiful garden. Definitely a quaint and secluded experience. They even have a private tea room out of the sun that houses up to 12 people. Highly recommended if you're a connoiseur of tea and have a sweet tooth like me.
Food was cooked to a high standard
Small thing that could be improved the experience is that the cutlery and knapkin could be placed down next to each customer rather than being put down in a heap on the table.
Service good apart from this.
We went for a belated post lockdown birthday treat. After a small mix up I was brought out beautiful fresh prawn sandwiches which were lovely, everything else was amazing......scones, cakes, prosecco, tea.....will definately be back and would highly reccomend Bracklesham Bay tea rooms. Even the dog loved her afternoon tea biscuit.
Thankyou all very much, staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Thankyou.
Quant yet clean and modern. About half the seating is outside with a nice garden. Plenty of sweet and savoury options for meals as well as teas. Generous portion of jam, cream and tea with a large scone. Dogs welcome, there's a separate room for them. The young staff were polite and capable, and I thought it was good value. Did debate losing a star as could have come quicker with a warm/fresher scone but it's too nice for that.
Nice little tea room with lots of character - we enjoyed sitting outside in the sun. Our littleun loved exploring the garden - which is oozes illilic English countryside charm - clearly a lot of love going into it. Tea, cakes & scones were tasty :)
A superb English tea room , we were inside as the weather wasn't that good but the service and selection made up for the weather we would have loved to go outside in the beautiful gardens maybe next time. P.s mind your head on the beams I didn't 😵💫😊 but where there's no sense there's no feeling 😁😆
Utterly fabulous tea room with large garden area. Super friendly and helpful staff who gave me a lovely table in the sun even though I didn't have a reservation. The scones were fresh from the oven with a generous serving of jam and clotted cream. Excellent value!
Really beautiful, picturesque place. We had cream tea which was delicious. Lively fresh scone and good amount of cream and jam. Also plenty of tea! The social distancing was excellent - good instructions at entrance, hand gel. Table and chairs wiped down incredibly thoroughly between visits (we watched!) Very friendly staff, masked up. Faultless.
I love the tea rooms! As a local I love being able to pop here on a sunny day the gardens are beautiful to have a bit of lunch in! The afternoon tea is fantastic here too! It’s very picturesque! The staff are very attentive too and the owner is a very nice lady!
