We had heard about this inn weeks ago and was on our radar to visit. Ironically our visiting daughter came to eat here the evening before we did and endorsed the quality of the food and the ambience of the atmosphere. We were greeted by Sally and her attention to detail in helping us make a choice for our meal. Dave particularly enjoyed a local ale called Lancelot which was stored at right temperature which is rare in other places. I chose the lamb steaks and the sauce they came with was absolutely delicious. Beautifully cooked. Dave chose the lasagne and enjoyed his meal. I’m very fussy about chips and usually forego them but I have to say that they were excellent here. Dave had my new potatoes and I had his chips as they looked so good. We had three members of the staff serving us and all three were very friendly and prompt with drinks etc. Definitely putting this on our favourite go to eatery. The only downside to the evening was that Dave had to queue to pay in busy bar and where the important football match was being shown. It would have been so good to pay in the restaurant

A little off the beaten track, this bar / restaurant is at a holiday home campsite, but is open to all. A little bit quirky, it's a really nice little place with great ambiance. It's wheelchair friendly and there are parking spaces close to the entrance. The bar also has a small shop with a few extra pieces for the campers. The food is a little bit expensive, but really great value for money; a lot on the plate, well cooked and presented. A lot of the menu is locally produced, and extremely good quality. They have a few vegetarian dishes that looked equally appetising. Don't forget to check the specials board which is regularly changed. But beware! The site is protected by guard ducks that will follow you around, quacking loudly when all you want is to get in your car to leave!

Went a couple of times. The rack of ribs was superb. Atmosphere superb. We got lucky though and fell across a table of people singing local songs 🎵

Great service from the Sally behind the bar and the lovely lad who served us in the restaurant. The food tasted amazing with huge portions and very good value for money. They even squeezed us in camping for the night last minute. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
