Village Inn - Bowness-on-Windermere - Photo album

Josh (assistant manager) & the team was most welcoming for our group of 4 adults and 2 Bernedoodle dogs. Nothing was too much trouble to assisting with our needs and the dogs needs, also went out of their way to put the football on which made us feel so welcome and at home, this made the decision
This place has so much seating inside and outside so we managed to get a seat very easily. The staff were so polite and ensured we were ok throughout our whole visit here. The food came quicker than expected and was extremely good and tasty. The price of the food was very reasonable.
A message for the landlord..... Having visited over several days, just for a beer, I was always welcomed and treated very well by the bar staff. Very friendly. I am only really writing this review to point out something I had noticed whilst sat having my beer in the front beer garden. The wooden
Whilst on holiday in Bowness on Windermere we decided to check into the Village Inn for an evening meal. I opted for Lasagne, Julie had Gammon Steak and our daughter had Mac and Cheese. Lasagne came with salad and garlic bread which was done to perfection. Gammon steak was with chips that were done
We had lunch here before taking a boat ride. Honestly, best chicken katsu curry we had in England. Didn't expect to find it in Lake District, we had ordered it dubiously. "Chicken katsu curry, here of all places?" No regrets! The fries next to the katsu sauce absorbed it a bit and became quite amaz
Such a lovely place and atmosphere. Very reasonable prices on drinks and food. Service is amazing and all the staff are really lovely and welcoming. The beer gsrden is massive and lovey to sit in on a nice sunny day. I Love the fact that its dog friendly too! 10/10
Visited on a week day trip to Bowness. Huge beer garden at the front, really looking forward to returning when the weather improves! The pub has a lovely, chilled village pub vibe. It was well presented, clean, and tidy and it actually smelled clean when we walked through the door. It was busier t
Great place for sport, drink reasonably priced for the lakes hubby was happy as he signed up for the app and got a free pint. Staff was great in showing him how to get signed up and now he can use it in a local pub too. Food was amazing especially the Sunday roast the Yorkshire pudding are massive!!
Self service (order at the bar with your table no), usual pub fare. Battered fish was over fried, but the chicken and steak pies were enjoyable. No mustard available for the steak pie. Large outside eating area. Well located in the heart of Bowness. Overall 3.5 stars but have rounded up as it was do
Had a couple of meals here and I have to say they were lovely, especially the Sunday roast. My partner had the Goulash and said he enjoyed it. The Staff are so friendly and helpful. The pub is also dog friendly and our Border Terrier loved the attention he received from customers and staff.
Great place. A very good size. Does get very busy. Dog friendly with a dog menu and do dog drinks to offer. Great food menus with lots of choice. Typical pub food. Some good size tvs if you fancy the sports. Will definitely returne.
A very friendly homely pub which serves great food with decent portions. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They welcome dogs and make sure they're catered for too. There's a lovely outdoor area too for the summer. I strongly recommend this pub
First visit to Village Inn. And was not disappointed. Staff very pleasant and pub was well staffed. Had two shared dishes, chicken wings and chicken strips. And both dishes very nice. Plenty of choices on larger and beer. Will return, thanks to all at village inn
Beautiful atmosphere, awesome food. We loved their hanging kebab, it comes with little fries and a small salad along with hot oil. The combination of hot oil, vegetables and meat with bread makes an amazing food experience for you. I also really enjoyed the presentation. Their fish&chips are really
Quite a large pub/restaurant right in the centre of town. Lots of elbow room and tables are adequately spaced apart, food was reasonable and service was good. We were there in February and the food service winds down at 7pm and it just seemed unusual to see people being turned away at that time when
6 of us went in for lunch and the service and food were great! Sunday lunch was massive with plenty of other choices on the menu for those who wanted something different. All of the servers were polite and friendly, acknowledging you while you waited at the bar and checking everything was good with
