Just returned from an Easter weekend break. The room was superb location was great breakfast and service was fantastic. Big thanks to Anca and her staff. Will be sèeing you again I'm sure.

Great location close to lake Windermere and many places to eat and drink in the town. The room was cosy and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We had breakfast both morning at Montie's cafe downstairs and were very impressed with the range of breakfast options, the attentiveness of the waiters and the speed of the food.
Love little B&B above their own cafe.
Very comfortable room. The mattress was awesome..we didn't want to get out of bed.

Had breakfast here this morning. Wow, great service and great taste! The lady who greeted us instantly told us there would be a 20minute wait for a hot breakfast. Her timing was accurate and when it arrived it was of great quality, presentation and taste. Thank you!
Stayed for 2 nights in double room. proper old fashioned guest house quirky staircase rooms very comfortable en suites lovely bed very comfortable. Anca was wonderful host could not do enough for us. Added plus breakfast fresh hot and very tasty. This will be our first choice every time in Bowness.
Discovered a gem booking three large rooms last minute. Honestly think this place was better than any branded hotel franchise I've had to stay at, especially when considering value. Anca took care of everything, including health concerns of some of the group.
Even made sure someone was around specially for the awkward time of day we had to arrive.
Extremely clean, recently renovated, and the largest room even had some fancy style with trimmings that would make other, overly fancy places think again about their offerings.
A great solid breakfast too, inclusive, at the café downstairs.
Had the most amazing sticky toffee pudding, cappuccino and veg English breakfast. Cute little cafe in Windermere. Clean bathroom too.
great b&b situated at the bottom of the hill in Bowness. The rooms were lovely and came with a large fan which was a godsend due to the hot weather. lovely staff and superb breakfast in a morning. Great stay and would definitely go again.

Cafe review: Second time we've visited and another lovely visit. Staff were really friendly and attentive, food was good as usual, shame about the bread the sandwiches were served with as it was just generic (cheap?) sliced loaf, which would have been better with just a nicer bit of bread. Regardless lovely place and will visit again.
Visited the cafe for lunch today, it was lovely food and drinks, excellent, friendly, welcoming service. It was slightly higher in price than id like but it was excellent quality and quantity and its the lake district so you expect to pay a bit more! Lovely environment 👌
Wondered in on the off chance after a quick bit of breakfast, didn't realise the quality of food served would be this high standard for breakfast. The list of different teas is also great, if ever in the area again, would gladly return.
Me and my friend booked to stay here as our first weekend away since lockdown. I’m so glad I booked here! The location is PERFECT! 2 mins walk from the lake. The room itself was so cosy and really well decorated. We loved breakfast in the café, Anca remembered our breakfast order the second day and that was really lovely. Overall perfect stay, will definitely be staying here again.
We had a great weekend with friends staying at the Monties Guest House 9th till 11th October 2020. The breakfast was fantastic & plentiful and the rooms were clean & comfortable.
The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble.
Would recommend to anyone. If you have mobility issues ask for Room 1. It’s only up a small set of stairs.
If your staying in Bowness on Windermere you can get a 3 day car park ticket for £16.00 and it allows you to park on any car park in the lakes.
