Stayed for the first time business and pleasure in the junior suite. £725 for 2 nights Inc breakfast Breakfast was decent and the quality of food was well above expectations. The room was lovely and had a balcony hot tub. Staff were all super helpful and very accommodating at all times. The cocktail bar is set with some lovely views , we found the food was a bit poor when ordering in the cocktail bar There is an Asian restaurant on site which was excellent and service was exceptional. Other than the cocktail bar food the venue was first class with great spa facilities. Credit to all the staff they were all exceptional.

Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, especially the gateman, concierge and front of house staff. Even on departure the concierge was giving me advice on the best route for my journey home at that time of day. The room was very comfortable and the bed provided a great night sleep. Spa with great ambience and facilities and the breakfast had a good variety and was very tasty. Well worth a stay if you are visiting!

Really great overall experience, staff were welcoming and polite. The setting and spa were amazing and the building and room were clean and well maintained. However, the breakfast was disappointing and it would have been better if the spa was connected directly to the hotel. I will definitely be returning here.

Our stay at Lakes Hotel and Spa was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we stepped into the reception, the staff greeted us with personalized warmth, making us feel right at home. The complimentary glass of prosecco added a delightful touch to the check-in experience. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and adorned with modern amenities, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring. The spa facilities were a highlight of our stay, boasting a pristine swimming pool, three inviting hot tubs, a rejuvenating sauna, and a relaxing steam room—all impeccably maintained for maximum enjoyment. However, the only downside was the consistent noise in the spa area, as some guests seemed to treat it more like a party spot than a serene sanctuary. This disturbance led to the deduction of one star from an otherwise flawless experience. The massage we received was truly out of this world, leaving us feeling completely rejuvenated and stress-free. Lastly, the breakfast spread was expansive, offering a hearty full English breakfast alongside excellent continental options, ensuring a satisfying start to each day of our stay. Overall, Lakes Hotel and Spa exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning for another rejuvenating getaway soon.

Stayed as a couple from Sunday to Monday. The manager called the night before to say unfortunately one of the Spa team had taken ill and they had to cancel the treatments. As disappointing as this was, it's just one of those things. As a sorry we were given free cocktails which although wasn't necessary we very much appreciated and enjoyed. Upon arrival we found out we were also gifted a room upgrade which was absolutely fantastic. Really made us feel welcome. The room itself was amazing, and we practically lived in the hot tub on the balcony. Ate at the Asian restraunt which we highly recommend. My girlfriend who is vegetarian also enjoyed and there were plenty of options for her. The staff throughout the stay were brilliant, especially in the cocktail bar. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The spa itself was very nice, although a bit on the small side. If you like to have a space for yourself and a bit more quiet, then maybe aim to go in out of peak hours. Literally the only downside of the whole thing, which for us wasn't really because we were just chilling in the pool for hours anyways. All in all, a lovely getaway for anyone who needs it.

Lovely hotel in a brilliant location, the staff were brilliant and reception was very helpful. The room itself was more then big enough and had an upstairs lounge with a huge TV and L shaped couch. The hot tub on the balcony was great to watch the sunset with a great view

Lovely stay over Easter Bank Holiday. Excellent service, special mention to Patrick for going above and beyond to help us even after his shift ended- thank you. Lovely clean suites with hot tubs, terrace was lovely in the sun and good food mostly, unfortunately chips were a little insipid and dry, but everything else was tasty on the tapas menu.

Upon arrival the reception and service is amazing. The staff cannot do enough for you..the rooms are comfortable and well thought out. The division between lounge and sleeping area is great. The hot tub is amazing however the view of the lake is minimal due to large trees. The room floor creeks alot..the main door bangs in the night due to wind or bad fitting..no fridge or mini bar in room. Ironing board is tiny. Bed is very uncomfortable with small pillows..the bathroom, well, the shower tray is plastic and bounces. Cheap concealed shower with 1 outlet. The water spurts like trapped air. After a while there is a screaming noise which is related to the shower..more attention is needed to the comfort and practicality of the stay not the new bentley parked outside, which is a nice touch. No facilities to place shower bottles etc..chips in tiles and mould on window..its a nice room but for money expected more..had mini facial. My partner got neck and shoulder massage however I did not although we both paid for same treatment. My treatment ended 10mins before my partner..not worth the money. Food great, service of hotel great..rooms not on par.

We stayed here in April for my boyfriend’s birthday. We booked directly with the hotel. This is the best hotel we have stayed at in the lakes. We were greeted on arrival with Prosecco and all the staff were so lovely especially our concierge (sorry I can’t remember his name.. I’m sure he said he was from New Zealand but I could be making that up) but he was so lovely showed us around everywhere and checked us into our room which we received a lovely upgrade from the hotel with a nice view of the lake. We ate at Mizumi on site which again was amazing and the drinks were 10/10. We got the Bentley into the town to have a few more drinks which was a lovely touch and the lady was lovely. The spa was great and nice and quiet when we went, we got a drink whilst in there from the pub. All the staff are lovely & we couldn’t fault a single thing from start to checking out. We will definitely be returning. Thankyou Lakes Hotel & Spa :) x

I stayed the day before valentines day with my girlfriend and the staff absolutely made the difference, from the front desk to the concierge (Mark) to the bar staff, they're all lovely. We stayed in the exterior double and it was great. The spa is nice, it does get busy around 4/5 but is dead from 8pm onwards.
