Classic Lake District tearoom with a great selection of cakes and pastries to go with morning coffee or afternoon tea.
Visited early in the morning and the service was efficient, returned for lunch later in the day and it was much busier, but managed to find outdoor seating with the dog.

We called in here looking for some fresh baked goods to take on our journey home. The choices weren't great. The cheese and onion pasty was nice. The lemon dip cake was quite dry and had very little taste. Seems like mass produced bakery items that would get at a chain store disappointing much bett
Wonderful place. The staff were really friendly and diligent when helping me to select some dairy free snacks. The cranberry and raspberry tea was yummy too. They also did a nice hot chocolate, which was perfect for a rainy day. I really like this chain, and given that I’ve visited different branche
We had the most amazing sandwich from this lovely little bakery. I was going to take a picture but unfortunately I ate it too fast! Yummy local food. The staff were superb with our children and the kids cleared their plates. I very much enjoyed the rarebit special. Food was served promptly and good portion sizes. Will return

While not quite at the level of a patisserie or Viennoiserie, they manage a decent selection of calorific carbtastic cakes and sandwiches.
There’s no meatball marinara to threaten the likes of subway but their stuffing is second to none.

I had the chicken with black pepper and lemon mayonnaise. Unlike other places the mayonnaise complemented the chicken instead of overpowering it. Also this is the only place I got a pot of filter coffee. We will definitely be back.
