Delicious food and drinks. Dinner a bit on the pricey side but quality is outstanding and we felt was well worth the price. Chocolate cake for dessert was also very yummy. Would definitely come back.
Stumbled across this little gem of a pub just purely on passing. I’ve ate around but honestly found this to be really good value for money and homemade tasty food. We went back twice as other restaurants weren’t up to par. Ideal for any time of day food is top
We went in for just a drink on the Thursday and saw the food then. We had to go back. We both had the bad boy burger. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Luckily for me, my girlfriend couldn’t finish hers. So I helped out and ate that. It was very busy and the staff were helpful and friendly. I
We arrived for lunch and were informed that the ovens were being repaired, sandwiches were available but hot food ordered would be accepted within 20-30 minutes. Bar staff came to our table to let us know as soon the ovens were fixed and we could order hot food. Great service from friendly staff who
At first glance, I wasn't going to go in. Never trust a book by its cover. Struggled with seating, it was packed. Found a lovely seating area upstairs. Food service all excellent staff really friendly. A definite must great choices of food & drinks price weren't bad either. Relax & enjoy
Three of us plus two dogs went in for lunch to escape the rain. Despite the pub being rammed full, the staff were excellent and very friendly and the food was very good quality and good portion sizes. Would recommend for sure and visit again when next in the area.
Had some tea and a few drinks. The food was really tasty, and really generous portions. A good selections of beers and ales too. The staff were really friendly too. The downside was the prices. In general everything seemed a little bit more pricey than all surrounding pubs/bars.
Random day out on the train, popped in for Sunday roast, was ample serving at a reasonable price. Have visited before, quite bust as always but there's seating up/down stairs. Quick service, got chatting to nice young waiter who'd just moved there from Hartlepool...... friendly staff, can't fault it.
Great pub. Plenty of space. Great decor, nice atmosphere. Family meal great surroundings and lovely food. A+++
We visited here over the weekend with our families - there was 7 of us in total plus 2 dogs and the staff were so accommodating. We all ordered food and no one was disappointed the food was delicious. The staff were very attentive and super friendly x The atmosphere in the pub is so homely we didn’t
Went in on a whim, the pub inside looked a bit identikit, the barman was very grumpy… However the food was excellent, really impressed - and served by a very friendly guy who made up for the sub par service at the bar! Recommend the hotpot, venison steak and the sea bass Top marks for the wide range
Cracking welcome, kids quickly catered for re. entertainment. Bar staff are great and kitchen staff were adaptable to our needs. Cosy with a really friendly atmosphere.
A good pub in a central location with a good selection of beers, spirits and cocktails. Didn't try any food but it looked really appealing. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and they have a bingo night on Monday.
The food is absolutely amazing. We had roast of the day which happened to be turkey (Xmas eve) . It was huge and delicious. The only criticism is too much gravy but seriously can’t be faulted. Will definitely come back.
Once again the food was lovely. Great service and top quality ingredients always. This place never dissapoints
