Great food! We had some great dal and shatkora lamb dish cooked especially for our Indian palate. The waiters were warm and welcoming. We engaged in lively conversations with them!
Great Indian food, super tasty and big portions. Nice clean restaurant, friendly staff. Would definitely come again. Don't be put off by the reviews of one spiteful, entitled family.
Wow not only is Raj the nicest most professional person I have met but the food is the best ever! My husband, mum and I will be coming back to stay in a hotel just to visit this amazing place! We have been 3 times over Christmas and we don't want to leave the lakes to go back to Yorkshire mainly because of this restaurant! We highly recommend! Thank you so much for you hospitality! We already cannot wait to return!

We had a brilliant curry, a bit like my first experience of curry restaurant from the 80s but not in a bad way. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We went for an early meal and it was still busy. Would highly recommend, if you enjoy a good flavoursome curry well worth a visit
We ate here late at night on our trip to the Lake District. The staff were sooo nice to our kids, even bringing them extra food and a dessert when we didn't ask. The food was absolutely delicious! We will be back on our next trip! Thank you!
Authentic Indian food.
We shared 2 starters, popadoms with dips, two main lamb curries, a garlic naan and rice.
All washed down with a bottle of house red.

The staff were really lovely, friendly and very attentive. Chicken dhansak was good. Would have preferred chicken a bit softer and more heat (but then again the last curry I had when eating out was so bland this one was still 10 time better). Nann bread was fluffy and NOT OILY, chips were crisp and everything hot and came out quick. The atmosphere was lovely. The toilet for the ladies and disabled is the same so lots of space and very clean. Would go there again if in the neighbourhood.
Lovely Place to Enjoy Asian food. I said Asian because originally its Bangladeshi Restaurant but it has taste of India food too. Customer service was great and reasonable price for food too. Place is nice to visit with Family and friends. Would recommend who wish to try this place.

SO GLAD we didn't because the food was good, generous portions and service was excellent.
Even though it was very busy, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Will visit here again next time we are in the Lakes.

Best vegan meal we have had outside of Bradford and made with fresh vegetables. We work locally and had never tried this place before this week, we just assumed it would be tourist standard of food . We just got a takeaway but will be back again to eat inside.
Outside of the resturant was nice, looked like a little lake house in the middle of town.
We got there very early at about 5.20 when it just opened, so it was dead inside. Our waiter was very nice and very attentive. He seemed very rushed later on as the resturant began to fill up and he was the only waiter working.
Service was fast, we had our starters in about 10 mins and then mains 10 mins after that. The food was very nice and prices were what you would excpect from an indian the bill for 2 people came to £35. Would go again if i was in the area

I had the pleasure of dining at Lake Raj restaurant this evening for the very first time with my family, and I must say, the food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I would highly recommend and look forward to dining there again in the future.
