I only came across this pub by chance word of mouth! What a fab find! We went to the jazz night they have on Sundays and it was a lot of fun. The atmosphere was cosy and intimate. Their was a great buzz about the place and it was full of character. The staff were really friendly and the selection of ales were a bonus! A bit out of the way but well worth the trip, especially if you're into jazz! Plus it's free to attend, just make sure you check out their selection of beers. Definitely intend on returning! It did get quite busy so I would say if you would like a seat to get there a bit earlier than planned.

Lovely pub, new local for me an sky housemates. very friendly owners, weekend evenings the owner plays music from CDs, classic tunes and good vibes all around. Weekdays it's happy smiles and perfect pints! Pool table is class, bring your own ques only.. Looks like there are many pool legends in the area!

I’m a northerner so an apparently typical east end pub was a first. Had a great Sunday night in here enjoying live music. Normally jazz I believe). Great atmosphere and good level of business. All the locals were friendly and especially so the two ladies behind the bar. They knew their drinks and were welcoming and efficient. Good range of spirits especially whiskeys. Smoking area out the back, toilets were fine, pool table. Prices were very reasonable, comparable to a normal pub where I’m from (the grim north)

I am very lucky to be able to call this pub ‘my local’. Frankie and Lesley are the perfect hosts. This is a proper pub and serves good ales, lagers and has a great selection of single malt whiskeys. Frankie spins the tunes on the ‘Minestrone of Sound’ on Friday and Saturday evenings and there is live Jazz on Sundays.

My favourite local pub. This is where I go for a quiet drink with friends when you just want a proper natter over a drink without food (except for crisps and nuts) and want to spend less than £10 on two drinks. Friendly staff, good prices. And in winter there's often the fire on.

A real community pub serving real ale. One of my favourite pubs in Tower Hamlets. Great and friendly service too. Live jazz Sunday evening and the Minestrone of Sound DJ on Saturday night. On 8 bus route. If you like a trad local, go visit!
