Welcoming friendly village pub. Was a short walk from a nearby campsite so visited a couple of times. Good selections of beers, and enjoyed a really good Sunday roast at what I thought was a really decent price. Lovely views over Dartmoor from the rear of the pub.
We spent a couple of evenings at The Palk Arms. Good mix of friendly locals and visitors, plus the staff were excellent. Three good local beers available and they were all in perfect condition. We ate on the second night and it was hearty, well-priced pub food. A real gem this pub, Iā€™d encourage
Local pub went in for a beer cheesey chips and to watch the rugby.Really good welcome and service would highly recommend.
Superb Sunday lunch as always. Mixed beef and pork, large or regular portions both excellent value and quality šŸ‘Œ
Proper country pub. Good beer, food and friendly welcome. Parking can be tricky, but there is a village car park just up the hill.
Stayed near the pub and visited several times. Great country pub, warm welcome from staff and customers for us and the dog. Free house with great local ales and ciders, really good food and very reasonable prices. Quiz night on Weds was great fun. We'll be back!
Small friendly 'local pub with stunning views over the Teign Valley at the back.
We were staying in the village and we had two wonderful evening meals and enjoyed a good quiz night .The pork and apple cider pie was so good and the brownie was delicious .We were made to feel at home .Super dog friendly

Super good local with great selection of beers and decent pasties. We didn't eat but the main courses that came out looked wholesome and very generous in portion size. Terrific views out of the back too.
Good steak's and excellent steak and kidney pudding šŸ˜Š
Nice country pub šŸ» with a amazing view .
One of our locals when we are in the area. Nice and warm pub with lots of games behind the bar to play with. Free playing jukebox with a good selection of tracks, pool table and a huge TV playing Sky Sports. Reasonable priced drinks.
Me and my family visited this lovely pup during our time camping at hennocks hideaway camp site. It's a 2 mins walk from there. Cons are that it is only open from 5pm and was disappointed it wasn't open at lunch times during the week. We had an evening meal here, very enjoyable but slightly pricey.
We were camping at Hennock Hideaways and ate at the Palk Arms on Tuesday evening. It was an excellent meal. I had the ham, eggs, chips and peas which was truly amazing - extremely generous portions with thick sliced ham off the bone. In all, it was a lovely evening in a very pleasant village pub (
Fantastic burger, great service a little hidden gem!
Lovely little pub, always come here when we camp. Dog and children friendly. Staff are lovely, great beer garden out the back with 2 massive rabbits, my son loves feeding them. See you at the weekend!!!
