Arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the girl behind the bar who took care of us while we were there who's name I didn't get. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short but had a lovely stay thanks to this girl making us and our little dog feel so welcome. Food was really nice, served by a pleasant
It was a spare of the moment thing, booked on booking. com the hotel/pub was very warm and welcoming. The food we had was good the room was lovely complete with exposed beams, the bed was very comfortable. My only sort of complaints were breakfast not being served until 8:30 am (which I think was a
My wife and I stayed here last night…we’d just booked on speck as we had to be in Barrow the following day. We are so glad we did! What a find. Cracking country pub with excellent real ale, atmosphere, great food (we had an evening meal and breakfast which were excellent quality and value). And such
Service very friendly, super fast, food excellent.
Prices sort of upper end, but not extortionate.
Excellent choice of beers and ales, including a stout, the name of which escapes me, but was excellent!
We were looking for a nice local pub for lunch and the White Hart served it up in spades. Nice food excellent service lovely beer lots of parking and a roaring fire. Dog friendly, authentic and good WiFi… I can’t think of a negative 👍🏻👍🏻
We had gammon and scampi the food was good. The staff were friendly, we did think it was a little on the pricey side for a pub, desserts were just under £8.00
A great pub with a handful of rooms. Included in the price of staying the night was free breakfast which was perfect for our travels into the Lake District! Lovely views here. Very happy with our stay here.
Lovely pub and very cosy.
We had a beer and enjoyed the open fire place.
Staff are pleasant and friendly.
Incredibly friendly manager, a lovely pub atmosphere, nice draft ale, huge breakfast, good coffee, great meals, warm room, very dog friendly ❤️
Called in without a reservation. Service was lovely and efficient even though it was a Friday teatime. We ate the the 2 4 1 fish and chips. Exceptional value for money. Fish was the best I've eaten since my visit to Whitby. Definitely recommend.
They have gluten free options on there menu as standard which is good
We stayed at the White Hart for 5 nights, my wife's mum is from the area so we where looking up ancestors etc.The White Hart team here are brilliant, friendly and go out of their way to help out. Room was cosy with a very comfy bed, the food is brilliant and they don't skimp on portions either from
We had a WONDERFUL meal here the Saturday just gone. We phoned up 20 minutes before arriving (had been walking in the Lakes) and they accommodated us immediately. The service was particularly outstanding - friendly, quick, efficient. The food arrived promptly and was outstanding quality. Our dog was
I grew up in Barrow and we used to drink at the White Hart in the early 1970s. 50 years later, after living abroad, I took my wife to visit the lakes. The pub was great, both to stay and eat. Location handy for Southern lakes and Barrow, but off the main tourist track. White Hart has changed from v
Lovely traditional country pub. Stayed one night B&B with an evening meal, everything was perfect! Good choice of evening meal, adequate comfortable room and a great variety of breakfast options. Definitely recommend!
Booked a table in the dog-friendly restaurant and ordered exclusively from the specials board. The grub was very very good and came in large portions so we went home happy. Very busy when we visited on Coronation weekend, but well worth visiting. I'd put this at the very upper end of food I've had i
Great food with prompt friendly service. We ordered only from the specials board and all four meals were excellent and very decent sizes. You pay a little more than elsewhere, but worth every penny.
