The second I entered the restaurant/take away I could see how popular it was with many customers waiting to collect their orders. The interior was fresh and modern well-lit with bench seating and large wooden tables. The server couldn’t have been more professional or helpful we were offered extra chips and my haddock was fresh, plentiful and tasty. They would appear to have five restaurants mainly in the midlands and do set a very high standard. Well worth a visit

Stopped for a quick lunch, whilst visiting Bourton on the Water on Sunday. The Chip Shed is Ideally located, right across from the waterway. We were greeted & seated straight away. Great service. Lovely decor. We had our food quickly. Gorgeous curry sauce 😍 Not cheap, coming in around £50 for 3 meals and 3 drinks.

I was quite surprise with the curry of the fish and chips. At first, I thought it would taste as an ordinary curry sauce, but I was wrong. The curry was delicious and it had strong flavor, which I was very like it. Overall, the meals was outstanding.

Just standard. Nothing to write home about. £16+ for dine in fish and chips - very small portion of chips. One of the smallest I’ve had. Bit too pricey. To go is cheaper. But everything tasted good. Scampi also nice, strange side salad though. If you’re looking for actually top rated fish and chips go over to Cirencester, theirs is top rated in England and if you’re a tourist going over the Cotswolds then choose that over this! However if you’re only here, get this to go and sit by the water it will be nice!

Good selection of fish and place for fish n chips in cotswolds. We had the fish n chips and steak pie. A bit pricey overall and it took some time to get a table and order, but would come again!!

Extremely nice service. The appetizers summarized: fried fish cake and shrimp cocktail were okay, extremely tender calamari, and the battered shrimp was the best I’ve ever had. Compared to all the fish and chips dishes I’ve tried, this place has outdone them all. Although it still had quite a lot of oil and was heavily fried, the fish was beyond tender and kept its fresh original taste. Out of the haddock, plaice, and cod, I liked the plaice the best. I would recommend getting the curry or the tartar sauce to dip the fish in. The wedge fries (chips) were hand cut and seemed to be a great deal healthier than other fries I’ve encountered. The steak pie was not entirely impressive but kept a nice flavor. With great delight, we discovered their personalized to-go boxes as our waitress did a wonderful job wrapping up our leftover fries in parchment paper. Unfortunately, although as expected, they still were not able to retain their original texture and taste after a night in the fridge.

Lovely food , I had the burger and my dad had cod and chips. The pieces of fish was quite big and the burger was fully loaded ,I actually had to eat it with a knife and fork cause the burger was so tender it was falling apart. Perfect portion sizes but free refills on chips was offered if needed which I though was a really nice thing to offer. Will definitely be coming back

My wife and I each had traditional fish and chips with curry sauce, quick service, bit disappointed with portion of about 10 chips in a wire basket (but half way through meal was offered free chip refill so all good). Food was excellent, perfectly cooked and the curry sauce was the best I have ever tasted 👌 Only negative is being charged without being asked a service charge of £3!

We decided to have lunch here after reading the reviews. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered calamari and scampi as starters and they were pretty good. The ingredients were fresh, but the calamari was slightly overcooked and, therefore slightly rubbery. The scampi was done just right. We also ordered two, plates of traditional - a piece of battered cod, which came with either mushy peas or baked beans, and chips of course. The chips were fab, and went well with the tartare sauce. The fish was nicely battered and was not oily at all. The baked beans were okay, though we both felt the peas were bland. Overall, a meal for two was just under 50GBP, which was a tad expensive. Oh, if you can, check out the gents to see the creative ways of using barrels.

Great place we walked upon while walking through this great little town. Small town feel with neat little shops lining High Street. Food came fast. Ordered Traditional Fish & Chips, Chicken Pie for dinner.

Just had takeaway fish n chips. Chips were great, but that fish!!! One of the best pieces of fish we've ever had from a chippy!! SO good and well cooked with excellent crispy batter. Really meaty and flakey fish. Great gravy n peas too. Very Highly recommended 👌

Stopped off here this evening for a fish and chip supper, before our trip home to Southampton. Food was great, the batter on the fish was really good. And Tina was very bubbly. Made it all very special. Thank you all. Take care and keep safe.x
