Reviews The Cornish Bakery

Lovely cream tea with a choice of plain or fruit scones. I’m pretty sure the cream tea was cheaper than other places in Bourton-on-the-Water and it felt less touristy (aka overpriced). Staff were so friendly! Sadly they had sold out of quite a few things by 4pm, but I assume this just proves that place is popular. The only negative was the staff were so busy at the counter that they didn’t have time to clear the tables.

we visited the cornish bakery whilst on our holiday and the food was delicious. a very nice bakery and everyone was really friendly, especially the lovely lady who served us both times we went! loved that it’s dog friendly too:) we were hopeful to come one last time before we travelled home but sadly we didn’t have the time however, that’s just another excuse to come back!!

The staff were very friendly and had time for a smile, despite being busy. My pastry and hot chocolate are reasonably priced in tourist hotspots. All in all a great place to stop for lunch.

I've been vegan for a couple of years and missed a Cornish pasty. This vegetable (vegan) pasty was fantastic. The pastry short and buttery and gravy in the filling tasted just like I remembered with lots of pepper. The service we had was really poor, but looking at the other reviews it looks like a one off. Now I see it's a chain I'll definitely stop their other stores when down that way.

Busy, yet super friendly service. And I am talking queue-out-of-the-door busy!! Amazing food. I had a large Cornish pasty, friends had chicken curry ones. Proper fillings with decent meat. No tough chewy bits and absolutely no big void of hot air. Cannot wait to go back. Well done and thanks for giving us such a wonderful pasty experience.

Visited this welcoming bakery/cafe on 20 September. All staff were pleasant, friendly and helpfull and the atmosphere was nice. Ordered cherry and almond croissants which were delicious and to be recommended. The lattes and flat white coffees were of a high standard and tasted perfect. We would definitely return and recommend.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. The gentleman who served us was quite friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Sausage rolls were the best we've had in England and my wife said her mocha was the best as well. Highly recommend!!

Probably the best sassaue roll in all the kingdom! Well worth a visit, proper coffee, great barista. Creamy and delicious, none of this English foamy coffee that resembles hot bath foam. Good proper coffee!! Terrific selection of home made everything, why go anywhere else?! Must visit. Top marks for your sustainable and local produce, wonderful! Award winning!! 👏👏👏

Visiting from the States and happened on this lovely tea shop. Hot chocolate and white coffee by Kate were perfect on a chilly morning as were the scone and raspberry croissant. Staff were were warm and welcoming—came up and asked if we might need wifi (most likely guessing from our accents that we depend on it and gave us clear directions for the perfect hike). Don’t miss this friendly spot!

This was our second time visiting this place. This time we met Owen, who was absolutely lovely! He was knowledgeable about the food and where it came from, and what the company offers, and was just so enthusiastic about it all. We had the vegan spiced cauliflower and onion bhaji pasties (though we aren’t vegan) and the flavours were out of this world!! Definitely try it if you’re visiting the area.

Had Thai Chicken Cornish pastries and a Cappuccino + Hot Chocolate Better than branded shop drinks. Reasonable price for the tourist area. Very much spacious seatings for Dine-in and few outside. Very friendly and kind staffs. They have customer toilet too. Try it out.

The place is warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a lovely conversation about cinnamon bun production on site. I had a cinnamon bun, decaf americano coffee and shared a Cornish pasty with my girlfriend. Next time I'm not sharing 😊
