Had birthday lunch for a friend at the Horse and Groom. Sunday roast was delicious! Just the right size and full of yummy stuff. Desserts were also lovely. Great service from the team there. Lovely pub in lovely location. Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay there, but highly recommend the p
Our first visit to this lovely pub. We were pleasantly surprised by the cosy, yet spacious interior. We were made to feel welcome, and whilst I would say they appeared slightly short on front of house staff, the staff who did serve us were friendly and efficient, albeit seemingly in a bit of a rush
My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the Horse and Groom for a few days, and it was a fantastic experience.
The rooms were not only super clean, but also incredibly cute, cozy, and inviting. The warmth of the environment made us feel right at home, and the bed was exceptionally comfortab
We went for a meal as we were staying fairly close by. The service and food were excellent. A minor criticism was seeing the pub on arrival it was getting dark and it wasn't lit up and seemed near a bend. A light over the name of pub would help. Again leaving the pub there were no lights in the car
Had a lovely one night stay here and the staff could not have been more helpful or kinder. The room was gorgeous, clean and comfortable and the chicken burger and chips I had for dinner was very yummy. Sweet little cotswolds town as well. This is at all NO fault of the staff but just be aware if you
We stopped for a lunch and enjoyed some very good food and drink.
They had very good options for vegetarians too.
The hummus was excellent and so was the fish and chips. Very flavorful and crispy.
We didn't stay overnight so can't really comment on the rooms.
We stayed at The Horse & Groom
for a couple of nights in October. Everything about it was so good - the bedroom and views were amazing, the pub’s garden was great and the food is outstanding we had breakfast and a dinner. It has a cosy feel to the pub, friendly vibe there, all of the staff were very
An excellent Sunday Lunch - really friendly staff, a very interesting menu (my son thought the smoked fishcake with Sag Aloo particularly delicious) and we appreciated the options for nibbles, small starters, and small puddings - a great idea for those of us who feel full after a great Sunday Roast!
A very good Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. The staff were very friendly & attentive. The meal was reasonably priced & good value for money.
Stopped at this pub for lunch while on a group tour of the English countryside. The service was excellent and the fish and chips (with a pint of Butcombe) the best I had during the tour. Highly recommend you stop here on your travels!
Had Sunday lunch here today.
Excellent service and attention to detail.
I can recommend the Butcombe 0.5% beer.
I loved the medium rare roast beef. It was superb.
Overall, it was among the very best Sunday lunches I have ever had in a pub.
Thank you to every staff member who made this all possible.
We were staying in Blockley so decided to pop to the Horse and Groom for an evening meal, what an amazing place, greeted with a warm welcome, place is so cosy, can imagine how snug and inviting it would be in the winter months with the log fires burning. The meal we had was so lovely, compliments to
Ideal location for what I needed and a warm and friendly welcome from Sarah upon arrival where she dealt quickly with check-in. The room was very spacious with a large ensuite and everything was clean and tidy. A nice cold beer in the large garden at the rear of the property followed by dinner was t
Picturesque, historical inn, in the cutest tiny village in the Cotswolds. The service was amazing. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. I appreciated the amenities in the room-unusual for this type of accommodation. We would definitely be back, as this inn is very conveniently located if you want to
