SimSim is a hidden gem that offers an incredible dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the owner's warm hospitality made us feel right at home. He even treated us to a refreshing lemon mint smoothie, setting the tone for an unforgettable meal.
The food at SimSim is nothing short of amazing. The Mussakhan wrap was authentically delicious, with a perfect blend of flavors that transported us to the Palestine. The falafel was crispy and fresh on the outside and fluffy on the inside, bursting with delightful spices.
A standout dish was the lahm baajeen with cheese Manaaesh. The thin, crispy bread topped with flavorful minced lamb and melted cheese was a true revelation.
What sets SimSim apart is the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The friendly staff and inviting ambiance create a sense of comfort and familiarity.
In conclusion, SimSim is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine in Bournemouth. With exceptional food, friendly service, and a homey feel, it's a hidden gem that leaves a lasting impression.
This place is perfect to take your family and enjoy their lovely food, the staff is great, the atmosphere is great and the food is perfect.
The food is absolutely incredible here. Takes you to the feel of an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. Lovely place to sit in and try such flavoursome and delicious food. Highly recommend the shakshuka and any one of their pizzas (especially the one with the za’taar).
Really lovely place this. Nice clean food, and fairly priced. The highlight was the service and atmosphere here. They helped keep our toddler amused when he was getting 'hangry', and made us feel at home for the entirety of our visit. Complementary baklava (freshly baked) was a nice touch too. We needed to purchase some more afterwards to take home - as it was so tasty! Will definitely stop in here again for a bite next time we're in the area. Top marks. 😊
very nice food a lots of fresh salads, very enjoyable atmosphere
This is my favourite restaurant! The flavours are incredible and they serve some of the best food I've ever eaten regardless of price. 2 can eat for around £23 (2 mains, 1 side, basket of pitas, and a pot of tea). I recommend the tea with mint, shakshukas (tomato based stew topped with baked eggs), falafals, the Palestinian omlet, and manakeesh (Mediterranean style pizzas). There are also off-menu specials if you ask.
All of the dough for the pitas, pizzas and wraps is made fresh daily by the chef and are delicious! So soft and tasty.
I live about 25 miles away and make sure to visit Simsim every couple of months. Each meal is outstanding.
Tried Simsim for the first time tonight and I have to say- it is as great as all of the other reviews say.
They make some of the best fresh vegan/vegetarian food in Bournemouth.
Tremendous tabbouleh, falafel, manakeesh.
And the owner is very welcoming.
Had the shakshouka and a meze. Food was tasty and generous portions. I also enjoyed the lemon and mint cold drink which was lovely and refreshing on a very warm evening. It pays to get there fairly early as they close at 7 on a Friday and venue is small so seating can be limited. Well worth a visit!
So ended up repairing a tyre in Charminster and we had time for a bite. Everything was pretty much closed but Simsim was open and looked quite cosy and welcoming. We ordered Falafel plate, zitaar and haloumi pizza and mint tea. Some desert bites for free when we paid the bill. Very nice and welcoming people. Definitely recommending it if you fancy arabic style of food, hummus, pickled cabbage etc Mint tea was also great!
Good food, very nice atmosphere, food cooked fresh, I recommended, good customer service.I will be back.
Special place, employees are great, environment is amaizing, it is one of my favorities places in Bounrmeouth and even i am not keen eating otside, but this is the best, and the prices are very good
One of the best halal food available in Bournemouth for breakfast as well as brunch. Very reasonably priced, child friendly and smiling staff. Went an extra mile to fulfill our shakshuka request. Thank you again. Keep up the work. Made our trip amazing.
Possibly the most generous place to eat I’ve been. Friendly service, super delicious food and good value is an understatement 😍
What a fantastic place. The best place to eat in Bournemouth. The food is so fresh, good size and a great price. A very nice staff aswell. I greatly appreciate this wonderful business.
