The evening didn't start well when we placed our order - one of the starters was put on the order incorrectly as was one of the sides. Fortunately we spotted this and managed to sort it before the food was prepared. However, we were surprised and disappointed when both our starters and main courses all arrived at the same time! Also one of the starters was missing a requested extra (nachos with chilli topping). We spoke to the waitress who very kindly offered us a refund on the starters. She returned saying she had spoken to the manager who would bring us our refund - but this never happened. We went to the bar after our meal to explain what had happened and that we'd been offered a refund and not received it. The lady we spoke to behind the bar was incredibly rude and did not apologise once for what had been fairly shambolic service. She rolled her eyes, shrugged and very begrudgingly gave us the money back for the starters, without even saying sorry. Overall very disappointed with the service we received, even though the food was good we won't be hurrying back thanks to the poor service and attitude of some of the staff.

Came here last night for a meal for my mums birthday - we had such a lovely meal, the food was amazing and the service was great too! Highly recommend!!
Been here several times Great staff Gorgeous food and not expensive. Plus my doggy gets to come too. Can’t say better than that. Try it out for yourself.

Very good all round, we popped in after a walk a couple of weeks ago. They were very busy, but went out of their way to accommodate a large party. The Manager and staff were friendly, helpful and attentive and the food was good!
Beautiful pub to eat and relax in. Good value and very friendly staff. Will be back.

An exceptional pub with an atmosphere that beats any. Always has something going on and always busy. The food is traditional pub grub and is always good . Landlord and landlady have really got this right ! I would recommend to anyone who loves a great pub, staff, atmosphere and fun. Thank god for the spyglass ❤️
We - a group of 3 couples - visited twice during a short trip to the area. It is big pub but was always full during our evening visits and there was a wonderful atmosphere. Service was wonderful. Between the six of us we tried quite a few of the dishes on the varied menu and none of us were disappointed. Great food and great value. We also enjoyed the quiz evening and to our surprise, the live music evening. We also stopped by for breakfast on our last day. Again excellent food and amazing value for money. A big thank you to all the staff who were so friendly and welcoming.
I’ve been here three times. The food is always good and rather a nice atmosphere. I love the lights and how it’s decorated, looks so pretty at night. I always looked forward to my once a year visit here. Only thing is was disappointed on our last night as we walked in about 8.15pm to find they had stopped serving food, when it clearly stated on the website and on the board outside that it serves food until 10pm.

We stayed a night had lunch and breakfast. Food was nice, good choice of drinks and staff lovely. Room was ok although needs a bit of attention. We only had 1 towel asked for another but it never came. Shower leaked but didn't really cause an issue as we used our only towel to mop it up. Comfy bed and did what it said on the box... nice location and free parking. Would stay again.
Sunday Roast, best I have tasted in a long while. Great service. Turkey roast was cooked to perfection, good portions and selection of vegetables.

Booked a table for my son's birthday on a Monday night, stupidly thinking it wouldn't be too busy! Oh, how wrong!! Table was delayed so we didn't eat till nearly an hour and half after arriving. So when it's busy be prepared for a wait. However the food arrived piping hot and was delicious. Due to a miscommunication one meal was forgotten but also forgotten from the bill when we asked for it to be removed. The staff were so busy but so helpful and friendly. We had a lovely evening, with good food and the drinks were flowing nicely!! We ate inside but took drinks outside after to enjoy the nice weather. Absolutely loved this place and will be returning the atmosphere is fabulous. Clearly very popular pub/restaurant especially during the summer months be prepared for a wait or a hunt for somewhere to sit if you don't book!!
Really friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much effort, 'you talk, we walk'. Food was delicious, lasagne was so tasty and great portion size. The seniors menu is great value and very good quality, the fish & chips, appple crumble delicious. So good my friend has rebooked for her friends!
I had a lovely meal here in the summer during a trip to Bournemouth with my friend and her two dogs. It was very welcoming towards us all, furry friends too! The food was delicious, portion size was great and generous and no problems whatsoever, I wouldn't hesitate to re-visit and recommend it for lunch or dinner.
Awesome afternoon with 20 plus friends having Sunday lunch and watching a madness tribute act.
Yes there were some minor issues with food, but we were a huge group and the place was heaving, the staff were incredibly helpful and didn’t stop running around
Food was good - probably could do with a bit more on the plate as some were still hungry (not me!).
Overall a great day out, fab atmosphere and we will definitely return
