Always love going to waterstones, laid out very well, went in with two books in mind & found them straight away. The staff member in that day was lovely & came straight over to serve me. Will definitely be visiting again the next time I'm in Bournemouth.

Bookshop & more, coffee shop upstairs. They just can't get the cappuccinos piping hot, but the service is superb, fast and friendly. A nice place for a quiet chill out.

Very cute little book store. The staff were amazing and helped us find the book we were looking for! They have a very nice Caffe upstairs which you can use to take whatever book you want out for a test drive. The stairs are very small and I tripped down them so I guess becareful guys 🥲

Absolutely gorgeous store, and really friendly and helpful staff! Very big with really nicely laid out sections, and it's got such a lovely atmosphere in there. The cafe is really nice too, and pretty reasonable. Asked for a book recommendation and was recommended a book that is really good!

All good except for the tea!! I really like the cafe (as well as the bookshop), situated as it is in the off-the-main-part of Bournemouth Square, in the arcade. The staff are sweet and friendly and I couldn't fault them at all. Where my big gripe is (and someone I mentioned this to said 'don't sweat the small stuff' about the issue) but why-oh-why do these seemingly decent cafes (not just this one, but many many in my experience, nowadays) completely fail to make a decent cup of tea?? What they do is put one single probably already completely tasteless teabag into a fairly big pot, and what comes out (however much you swirl it around desperately) is basically as flavoursome as dishwater. Apparently (according to the really nice young lady there) other people have made the same comment, and she's powerless to do anything as it's the policy from above. I hope they'll let me have the teabag in a cup in future (which I hadn't thought of asking for, as when I go somewhere new I get this hopeful feeling that finally I'll get a decent cup of tea, like the ones I make for myself at home with the cheap supermarket teabags haha!!). My theory is that this is a symptom of the general malaise in society and the downfall of civilisation. End of gripe.

A good sized bookshop with helpful staff. It's a great place to browse and being a decent sized shop, the selection of books on offer is great! It's also a nice little oasis away from the strange world of Bournemouth town centre outside!

Spread across three floors. Top floor is a cafe. Wide selection and genres and subjects and a great collection of local interest books.

Zack was the nicest person I have ever met. He helped me find what I needed with a smile on his face and he was even kind to show me the Waterstones Student Card. Great guy right there! Thank you!

Enjoyable lunch but I'll have to sell the furniture if I want to go more than very occasionally. I liked that they were flexible about swapping out chips for extra salad, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly lady and man working in the bookshop itself on the Sunday morning on the 21st May and the cafe upstairs was peaceful and calm as well and had friendly staff. I always prefer bookshop cafes compared to the high street cafes !

Very pleasant store with a full range of books for adult/teens/children, and also games and book related accessories. Quiet, clean and tidy, I could spend hours here.
