Very centrally located and a short walk from the town. Quite a grand place both in an out. The foyer and public areas are very well furnished as are the rooms. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. We quite happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel at the price we paid.
Nice rooms everything you want in the rooms,super beds,clean and tidy. Food excellent,drinks not overcharged.staff excellent everything clean and tidy.near to bus station .a bit of a hill to hotel from buses,shops close by.a large park close by,and a nice walk through the park to the pier and beach.

Booked an afternoon tea here for 16 people on my hen party. The food was lovely and served nicely. The serving staff were polite and helpful without being overbearing. I would say the hotel could do with a spruce up but I heard they will be closing for a refurb under the new owners. I hope they keep the art deco feel to the place. Well located for a trip to Bournemouth.
Hotel was due to be refurbished and some minor problems occurred but these were dealt with buy the efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Hotel was clean, food was adequate and location was quite central for all amenities. Hotel was on a hill so it was quite a strenuous walk from the seafront which may be difficult for those with walking difficulties.
Enjoyed our stay
Spent the weekend there for the Bournemouth Air festival. The staff were friendly, the location was good only a short walk to the beach 🏖 , the swimming pool and jacuzzi were really warm and the breakfast was very good. All together a good experience.

night it is 4 star 🌟 hotel & the Alpha driver Adam is brilliant 👏 .

Brilliant hotel, rooms very nice, clean & spacious. Great food, bars & entertainment. Has a small pool & leisure facilities.
room wasn't bad, however dirty carpet should have been replaced! Excellent location, decent service - special thanks to Gerganda. Would visit again.

Thanks to Lorraine, she made our time there extra special. Really warm, lovely lady with excellent hospitality, hoisting, and customer service skills. I would have marked it an overall 5 star. But, the tall server in a blue suit was quite rude. Asked if we could have cutlery, and he came back, looking quite angry. When he hurled the cutlery on our table in a big heap. Some of the elderly customers said he has been like that since last night. Proclaiming he's very rude love. Oh wow, not a good look for a royale hotel. One couple said they come here at least 4 times a year every year for over 10 years, and it's been horrible. Standards have definitely dropped, adding that they won't be back next year. For me, I loved the pool and jacuzzi. The rest of the staff were fantastic. A bit run off their feet. But, it's still very nice except for Mr Blue Suite, guys. In saying that, I would stay here again. For all you ghost paranormal investigators, see if you can get room 105 it has very high levels of paranormal activity. He seems to like haunting that room and the upper floors.
Lovely hotel staff lovely couldn't do enough for you ,dropped star no draught beer though out our stay 5 days .Was a bit hilly for walking .
We started here for 8 days I must say that the staff were excellent especially Nick in the restaurant the room was very good quiet except for the Friday night outside party that was under my room but it was finished by 11.30 pm but that's the only thing I don't like
In the middle well placed hotel in centre of Bournemouth, lots of bars , restaurants, shopping , close to beach walk through gardens, staff brill ,rooms clean and comfy ,was upgraded on arrival , plenty of tea coffee ect , will use again , small pool and jacuzzi, breakfast good full English, booking advised for evening meals .
Great value hotel, maybe past its hey day but if the room cost is right it still has lots to offer. Great location and great breakfast

Was a beautiful lounge area. Very grand. Staff very proper. Tea brought out on fabulous stands. ( vegi catered for & children) all very tasty apart from the scones. Like little solid dough bricks. Not pleasant. So slightly spoiled it for us .
