I cannot recommend highly enough!
Last night myself, my partner and my parents had a spontaneous meal out, and it was absolutely superb! For a Monday night, it was heaving, so that says it all!
The new menu is great and the food we ordered was excellent and so well presented, the setting was beautiful (we were lucky enough to get a table in the conservatory) and most importantly the staff were amazing. I have not had such good service in a long time. Holly and Freddie waited on our table and they were not only helpful, attentive and professional but they were hilarious! It’s so refreshing to have waiting staff with such personality, it really made our evening.
I think the refurb was the best thing that could have happened to this place and we will certainly become regulars now! I am delighted to have such a lovely place on my doorstep.

We went to the Riverside last night,really thought the place was great,such a good location for a decent restaurant and bar,I thought the menu was good with lots of lovely choices,both food and drinks,its hard to choose!
Food was good,service very good,lovely decor and views of the river we sat in the conservatory area overlooking the river.
Will definitely return and recommend to our family and friends!
Absolutely perfect. The staff, the food, the view, how they’ve refurbished the site. There is such a positive atmosphere amongst the staff and their determination to meet everybody’s needs is clearly an important aspect to the business. I can’t wait to come back. The lunch deal is a winner with a wide range of delicious dishes to suit everybody’s palette. The drinks I felt reasonably priced if anything, on par with competition. 2 for £10 on cocktails 12-7 Monday to Friday is awesome!!! Holly, our waitress, was so well informed about what food was/ wasn’t available so communication is very good between chef and staff. Thank you everyone. Keep up the good work. Have eaten here twice since the official launch and haven’t been disappointed. A beautiful location with a fantastic conservatory taking full advantage of the stunning view. An extensive menu offering the best meals I’ve had out in a very long time. Both times been served by Holly who’s been fab! Clearly some teething problems that can be expected from a new place that’s proved very popular. But I think once those problems are smoothed out then it will be hard to beat to this place for a great meal out �
Lovely decor, friendly staff and delicious food. I had king prawn, crab and chilli linguine. My friend had fillet steak and my other friends had chicken and leek pie. We all were impressed with the quality of the food. We will certainly be returning!
I came in tonight had a absolutely lovely meal with some family and friends, everyone left saying how great it was and how they would all go back. All of the staff were great and very welcoming, in particular our waitress Shannon was very helpful recommending food and drinks and done a great job, she made us all feel very comfortable and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back soon.
Well well tonight I came out to dinner to celebrate my mums birthday, and all I have to say is WOW.
What a great service didn't rush us but didn't take ages was just perfect amount of time.
Manager Gary looked after me and my family well! Shannon and jas gave us such a warm welcome with a lovely smile!
Monica looked after us all night and kept checking on us, couldn't ask for any better!
The meals was absolutely amazing, the pollo pizza I defo recommend! Well done team riverside!!

I would like to thank you all but particularly to Eddie for such a fantastic day. We went to Riverside to celebrate my birthday last Saturday and his service and dedication was excellent.

Had a really tasty meal with great wine (Pork belly with different gorgeous sides as a part of the dish to accompany it), the view from the restaurant is beautiful, the lighting and ambiance were great, and Lisa who served us was attentive and friendly. Would love to visit again
Quick visit with work colleagues, asked to run a tab but was politely informed tabs are not allowed. We found a table then had to return to the bar to order.
Food was good, service was OK but not actively attentive. We sat outside which on a summer evening was very pleasant.
It was busy but not crazy busy, sat after our meal and chatted over another drink an hour later and nothing had been cleared from our table.
Food and setting would definitely mean it's worth another visit, but maybe worth trying the indoor restaurant next time.
Julien was our server, and he was absolutely fantastic!! I came down to Bournemouth for the weekend and had some terrible food, especially coming from London I can be quite picky these days. Food was brilliant and tasty and well composed. I had the scallops risotto for starters, rib eye steak and cheesecake trio for dessert and have absolutely no regrets going over my calories on this lunch session alone.
The very first time we found to pub after a holiday in Bournemouth it was rammed and the service was terrible.
Around 2018ish.
We were there early October and it was the normal great service you would wish for.
The dogs were made a real fuss over as normal.
We always look this pub out as a great end to our Dorset holiday.

Couldn’t fault the whole experience really. Came for a family dinner. Service was excellent (coped with a big party of us with charm!). I had the squid and sea bass. Big portions, tasty well presented food. Kids enjoyed their mini burgers. Nice that the kids menu has had some thought put into it. Espresso martini was 10/10.
The food was nice, but I visited in a very sunny Sunday so the restaurant was very busy which meant the service was slow. Generally it was a good meal and the service was friendly. Bonus is the place is dog-friendly!
The drinks was amazing and the special pork belly , fantastic! I put £30-40 when you add two drinks and dinner. If I could give another star I would bc my two kids of 3 & 5 eat everything ( dinner and dessert! )
Wonderful birthday dinner for my Grandma’s 90th! Cannot thank the staff enough for their attentive and patient approach for my elderly grandmother. We booked a table for her 90th Birthday and not only the staff but food was spot on. Huge thank you to everyone on the team, especially the younger blonde chap with flame nail varnish (didn’t get his name).
They even helped us with our own supplied birthday cake, brought it out with our candles and sang happy birthday! Also offered to cut it and serve it on side plates!
Overall would strongly recommend! The staff are a real asset to this restaurant and made my grandmas 90th birthday unforgettable. Thank you so much.
Booked this restaurant for a family reunion. There were 14 of us. Never easy catering for such a large group, but all food arrived together and was great. Our server Eddie was fantastic. Great menu options. Would definitely eat there again. Pork and scallops is a fantastic dish!
Went for dinner on a Wednesday night on the way back from an evening on the beach. We had booked the conservatory but they weren't busy and we would have sat anywhere.
Drinks/food orders taken quickly (very good Sandford Orchards cider!)
Starters mains were all very good although prices rather high and one main portion a little small.
Very friendly/helpful servers throughout - we would certainly visit again.
Hadn't been here for many years and decided to stop in for dinner last week. All the food was fantastic, the service was great, and we'll definitely be going back again! Also was nice to get drink recommendations from the bar staff - great stuff!
