Smithson's Fish & Chips - Bournemouth - Photo album

This is always my "Go To " Fish & Chip shop.Very friendly staff and the Haddock & Chips are always cooked to perfection.Lots of food choices available and all are very reasonably priced.Service is prompt and efficient.A very busy establishment that I would highly recommend.
Typical local fish and chip. The cook was tested. Fast service and de portion chip was huge.
Pleasantly surprised by the portion size and quality. I order the regular cod and chips with a pea fritter. The pea fritter was terrible but both cod and chips were really good, fresh crispy and not too greasey.
I actually travel a good mile or two from where I am only to go to this friendly family run business over time and again. It's not only the good food, it's the friendliness of the staff which is of course important and pleasing, so, the combination of the two makes it a perfect experience. πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ˜
Love this place, have been coming for many years and always had top notch fish and chips and great service too. Would recommend to anyone in the boscombe/pokesdown/Southbourne area

Spent ages trying to find a chippie that sold Skate/Skate Wings for my Dad who loves it. Found Smithsons via a Google review from back in 2016 as they don't have a website. Gave them a call and they answered immediately and confirmed that they still sold Skate which was an answer to pray. They do
The place constantly has a queue and there is a good reason for it. The fish and chips are fried to perfection.
Good value fish and chip. Went there on a Monday and they got a deal for cod and chip. The fish is really fresh and the battered layer is well cooked and crsipy. I LOVE the cod! Although I am not too impressed with the chip as I have tried much better chip in a pub. The chip is a bit too greasy bu
Best chips in Bournemouth, they use maris piper potatoes, always busy but worth it.
Great fish & chips, fast service, cash only.
My go to fish and chip shop in the area. Great food and generous portions. Highly recommended!
Only had chips but they were very large and well cooked. Beware cash only.
I'm very upset to be reading some of the negative reviews regarding prices. The cost of energy, fish, potatoes, oil, and packaging have rocketed recently. These guys work hard and have constantly served me good quality fish and chips consistently for over 6 years. After spending 4 years running shop
Have edited my excellent review as returned yesterday and disappointed beyond belief. The portion size has diminished massively, prices increased enormously and staff just don't seem to want to be there. Shame as it was a great place for great grub at a reasonable price, now just run of the mill pla
Best fish & chips in Dorset by far , but the rude staff laughing in your face puts me off going there again. Shame
