Excellent fish and chips. So glad that it's my local chippie, within about 2 minutes walk of my house.
Great quality, tasty fish, and generous portions, too. The fish is not covered in masses of case-hardened batter like in some chip shops, and the chips are never soggy.
Sunny and his staff really know how to cook fish and chips properly.

This place is fantastic. Not just the food, but the customer service. I came here with my partner, my son, and my elderly grandparents.
I have several severe food allergies, and even more intolerances relating to a medical issue and disability, and my grandmother is disabled too. The staff went above and beyond to help me figure out which foods were safe for me to eat, and prepared them all completely separately to everyone else's food to ensure my safety. They also allowed my grandmother to bring her own chair with her as she can't sit on low chairs or chairs without arm rests and back support. Our server was extremely kind and patient with my 10 year old son who has Down Syndrome. He has a speech delay and communicates using a mixture of words and sign, and can be difficult to understand at times if you're not used to his way of speaking.
I really can't praise them enough and I'll definitely be back again as my food was fantastic, and my grandparents proclaimed that they were the best chips they had ever tasted.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sunny's Fish and Chips recently, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. First and foremost, the prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of food you receive. The fish and chips were top-notch, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, showcasing their commitment to quality.
Additionally, the service at Sunny's was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. It's not every day you find a place where both the food and service exceed expectations. I highly recommend Sunny's Fish and Chips to anyone looking for a delicious meal at a reasonable price, accompanied by great service.

Superb fish but let down by the portion size of chips.
Nice fresh haddock with a crunchy but not oily batter. However for a large portion of chips I felt a bit disappointed with the portion size. However maybe I was just really hungry.
I had regular cod with large chips - the portion sizes were perfect, big enough fish and definitely plenty of chips with a large portion. The shop is clean and tidy, the man serving was polite and friendly.chips were clearly freshly made and very tasty, the fish was nice but not great.

Customer service was fast, we didn’t have to wait long while ordering 4 pcs of fish and chips for take out. The place was also clean.

Super tasty find, close to the seafront! We were looking for a chippie that would be HALAL compliant and this amazing place delivered. They fry in peanut oil and will fry the fish separately to any meat products on request. Don’t waste time looking for the Fish and chip Plaice, which comes up on TA reviews for halal chippies- doesn’t exist anymore. Changeover in owners and no longer halal. Sunny’s delivers the goods and staff couldn’t have be more accommodating!
Really friendly and accommodating people. Fish and chips were banging and paired really well with the curry sauce and peas. They also fried the fish in a seperate man to meet our dietary needs. All round great job 👍

On the 24th of July 2023 I remembered that this chop shop sold my favorite chip shop vinegar, so I decided to pay them a visit as I'd run out and previously remembered the delicious fish and chips I had from them before. When I got there I had forgotten that they only take cash, I needed £2.50. I looked in my bag but only found £1.20. The absolute gentleman sold me the bottle for that price. 🥰
Been here several times and quality and portions top notch. Only minor criticism is that there are clearly a lot of regulars and I have felt on occasion that they get priority, extending my wait times. I understand why.
I've read the recent reviews and there are a lot of 5 star as i would expect. There are also a fair few 1 star reviews which look bogus to me, and I suspect some are written by the same sad person. Don't be put off, try for yourself.
We were in the area with our Scout Group and speculatively called Sunny's for an order (for 32 people) for the group -- the food was fantastic, piping hot and and the service was amazing !
Would highly recommend -- especially to Scout groups having Chips by the pier at Boscombe !

Stayed two nights in Bournemouth for a little beach getaway and both nights we dined here. Amazingly friendly guys, brilliant portion sizes and 10/10 quality taste wise, my friends absolutely loved the fishcakes too! Whenever we visit Bournemouth again, were dining at Sunny's!
