Thanks to Stu, Russell and Joe for the best birthday tea. Love this place, such a relaxed and friendly vibe. The staff make the place what it is, just like sitting with good friends and enjoying some quality locally sourced food. Thanks guys

Second visit & absolutely perfect, gorgeous halloumi salad and King prawn baguette. Service was absolutely perfect and the staff are amazing and friendly and the food is always gorgeous Fresh. Amazing service even though there was a minor hiccup, you can not fault this place. Amazing fresh food, the favours amazing, fresh ingredients beautifully presented and served with love and passion. Mistakes can be made & I always feel it’s how it’s handled that makes the difference and these operators were pros truly appreciated the amazing breakfast and service and the whole experience was great x

Had a very lovely cappuccino while gazing out at sea views. Excellent service. Food looked great - couldn't stop that long and was rather jealous!

We always love coming down to Bournemouth and there was not a single trip without Urban Reef! Food is always fantastic! Staff lovely and helpful! We don't know any other place in London or elsewhere, that serves such a great quality oysters too! The only thing, that surprised us in funny way this time- when we started ordering (mind you, when we are going out, we are heavy eaters:), new waitress was trying to convince us to order less, so we don't over eat! Ha ha, thank you for looking after our health, but it would be better for your business, if we do the other way round...:)) Really recommend! Especially first floor for more special ambience!

Very nice cafe. Went for lunch on a lovely sunny Thursday so not too busy. The staff were all very friendly and have great service. Good to be able to see the chefs working, gives a lot of confidence in the did quality. Both meals were very good, freshly cooked and tasty. Very dog friendly providing not only water but beds too!

Walking distance, right on the beach, and good fresh food at good value. I've been here for lunch, dinner and afternoon coffee and each time I've been impressed by the friendly service, the choice of gluten free food (and cakes! A choice of cakes that isn't pre packed flapjacks!). I'm becoming a big fan. Fish & chips update : the fish is smaller and the chips are bigger (too big, bordering on roast potatoes but soggy. Shame, because it's one of the few places that use actual potatoes. Please cut them a little thinner!) Food update: disappointed by the quality. Cooks are the same, so I can only think that the new owners are putting undue pressure on the staff. My confidence has been shaken, unfortunately. Please let today's experience be a one-off.

Went there following the recommendations to get oysters, unfortunately they ran out, which I'm not surprised. But I can ensure that it was the best pizza I ever eat 😋

After a long cycle ride we stopped at Urban Reef for coffee and cake. Both coffee and cake were good and the service was professional and prompt despite it being very busy. My only complaint is that there are not enough toilets and there was a very long queue for them.

Lovely food, staff very friendly. We were lucky to have the best weather so sitting on beach front was perfect. Food delicious, great for long leisurely lunch and great food.. Even my two pooches loved it! Cocktails were excellent also!

Went for breakfast on a wet Friday morning recently and the restaurant was heaving with people and dogs. The breakfast arrived quickly and was delicious, though there was only one sausage which is a bit mean for the price. My other gripe is you can't choose how to have your eggs (poached only) and there were a lot of dogs - feels a bit unhygienic. Service charge is automatically added to your bill but staff don't mention this, so look at your bill carefully. However, staff were mostly friendly and efficient.

Much better than a couple of years ago. Previously, the service was non existent. Now, a well oiled sewing machine. One no longer feels like a pain in the behind for purchasing food. Much, much better. I will visit again as long as it remains this good.

Great views a slow but friendly service, food was also lovely we ordered almost everything on menu, some items just weren't that hot when served and chips were bit of a let down. Sea food tasted fresh with generous portions. Deserts and drink were top notch. Recommended if your looking for a great place to eat.

Really lovely meal with attentive service and well made cocktails. We shared a starter and a bottle of wine between three of us and had one main and three cocktails each and our bill came to £50 a head which we felt was very good value! Food was delicious with good portion sizes. They were quite expensive with most mains being around £18 but I'd say it was worth it as you could tell it was fresh high quality ingredients! Cocktails were between £6.50-£9 and most wines were around £20 a bottle. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area if you want to treat yourself for a special occasion or if you just want a nice night with some cocktails!

Great setting on the seafront. Interior is really colourful. Service was quick and staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious. Best lobster bisque and fish and chips I've ever had. It is on the pricey side but it was well worth it imo.

Birthday Treat. Lovely setting and view from the balcony stunning. Our server was attentive, amusing and knowledgeable- about the wine and our choice of food . It turned out she was a very old friend who I hadn't seen in over 20 years. Food was delicious, well presented and cooked to perfection. We had olives, oysters, dressed Crab , Salad Niscose ( Highly recommend this Tuna served pink) Creaser Salad. I definitely will return .

Excellent seaside restaurant, the cooking is well above what you’d expect from a pub in this type of location. The staff are wonderful .. friendly and kind towards guests including families with young children. The whole sea bass was done in a rich caper and brown shrimp butter sauce and the fish and chips were a thick tranche of haddock fried in an airy rice flour batter. Nice beer and wine list, not just run of the mill. Bonus points for the Sunday night DJ who was beaming positivity with a funky 70s playlist.
