Excellent food, well presented. Lovely building and kind attentive staff. Well worth a visit. So many restaurants open and close down so fast, this one deserves to stay open and become a real success.

The food was well presented, tasty and hot..The building is beautiful & unique. The stained glass windows & high ceiling of the converted chapel are lovely. Polite friendly staff and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Some people will always find fault and yes I guess everything can be improved upon. I booked our meal through an offer on Groupon and there are no complaints from me..thank you for a nice evening

4 of us went for a meal on Saturday night and we all thought it was great. There was a bit of a wait between courses but I don't mind that and the plates were cleared promptly which I do like. Amazing food, we will definitely go back.

Totally disagree with Mr Jackson - we have been going to Plates for a few years now. The location, setting and food is beautiful and the service has always been first class - we have no complaints whatsoever and we will be back. Service at the Toby Carvery being better I find difficult to believe.

Very friendly staffs, good quality food and good portion. Ordered seafood dish but wasn't available at a time but offered alternative also nice. Good space between tables so you don't have to overhear somebody else conversation. Beautiful interior special windows as building itself use to be a church. Overall, very happy with visit will definitely return.

A really lovely night out. Attentive staff, busy open kitchen, £26 for a 3 course meal including 10oz rump steak. Very good, not many readers like this actual in Bournemouth, Westbourne

If you require something a little more refined than brand restaurants. Then this is the place. Smoked Duck with rhubarb and smoked meringue was a perfect balance between sweet and sour with a added tinge of smoke. Lamb rump was perfectly cooked, with a tian of ratatouille and gratin potatoes. Which were creamy and complimented the lamb perfect. The roasted pepper could wasn't obtrusive and complimented the ratatouille and just enough Lamb jus. Tasted fresh and gave the dish that added kick. Finished with a Chocolate Fondue. Which was wickedly melting and went well with cherries and ice-cream. Westbourne you are very lucky. Outstanding. Service was also very professional but non obtrusive. And she was very polite and respectful to our wishes. Thank you for making our 10th Anniversary so delightful. Mr Emery.

Fantastic place to eat! Absolutely amazing food! Beautifully presented and generous portions! LOVED the stained glass window!!! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the service was slow! Waitress on her own, who was very friendly but the gaps were too long between sitting down/ ordering and waiting for next course! Felt she was not very observant! I actually booked on line AND I was the only customer for an hour ( early lunchtime in the week)! So no excuse really! Would return again as the food was exceptional!!!

Quality food and a terrific selection for all varieties of diner. The chef even let me order ahead to request something I spotted on the valentines menu that isn't normally on the a la cart menu. The meal was genuinely delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and ambiance are good, though we did have the place pretty much to ourselves on a Wednesday night. The only downsides were that a couple of orders didn't arrive on time with everyone elses (there were only 7 of us) and the bill had a few errors at the end of the night. Having said that, I would happily dine here again and would recommend Plates & Co. to anyone.

Had a mothers day meal here, and was not disappointed, the food was an easy 10/10 and just as holy as the beautiful stained glass windows. The staff were very quick and effective. The bartender was very friendly and upbeat, clearly showing love for what he does, even went so far as to make a 'mocktail' that wasn't on the menu for my children to replicate a real cocktail, and I couldnt tell the difference between that and the real one. Could not he happier with the service, food and especially the atmosphere and scenery, absolutely beautiful. Worth every penny, Will be returning.

Fantastic restaurant secreted away in an old chapel. The unpretentious side door leads up a windy stairs to the roof space to reveal this hidden red velvet upholstered gem. Great food. Great menu. Friendly staff.
