What a lovely place and wonderful flavours, vegetarian and vegan options, lovely kind sweet staff and fantastic service
Lovely atmosphere and a great experience the Asian desserts are less to our liking and requires adjustments but it was interesting never the less it was a lovely exposure to new flavours.
On terms of parking it's not so simple and perhaps required a couple of minutes walk, only issue is that they don't accept credit card, only bank transfer and cash.
Total came to £160 for 7 ppl including tip.
Wow! I'm so impressed. This is so far the best Malaysian food I've tried in the UK. It brings me back home❤️
The staff were so friendly. We had a nice chat. The interior is also beautifully designed. 100% recommend this place.
What an amazing experience. Food-great,atmosphere-great,service-great.
The drink concussion was amazing full of natural flavour and aroma.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back 😀
Authentic Malaysian cuisine. Very welcome and top service. Loved majority of the items.
I would definitely recommend & come back.
Travelling from far looking g for a halal resteraunt. Big fan of Malaysian cuisines. Food was very authentic and home made. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely reccomend if you looking for something different.
The food was authentic, tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was so cosy.
The beef rendang was tender and flavourful, it was perfect. Roti canai was the best however the dhal and chicken curry on the side was a little watery and lacked a bit of flavour. The lasksa was great and flavourful though I do wish it was a bit hotter/spicy.
The drinks (Malaysian milk tea and iced lemon tea) were refreshing and delicious too!
Overall we loved it so much! It felt like home will definitely come back!
The food here is insane, staff are super friendly, food is authentic and fresh, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Best Malaysian food or even Asian food I’ve ever had and the restaurant itself is pretty. YOU MUST GO
Excellent Malaysian restaurant! This place may look unassuming, but it's the food that shines here. We were the first customers to arrive on a Sunday evening but by the time we left, it was busy. The staff are friendly and very welcoming, and patient with me and my disabilities. They took extra care with food allergies, even after we ordered - making sure that dishes were safe to eat. The menu has a wide range of traditional dishes and drinks, the service was pretty quick, everything tasted great. Definitely recommend this place!
Food was very nice and just like you would get in nice restaurants in Malaysia. Though they are humble to say that cannot compare to Singapore. Nasi goreng is very nice.
Nice of them to allow me a bigger table even while I'm alone. Chef went around talking to every table
...you'll feel like in Malaysia. Maybe outskirt KL.
Encik Eddie, all my fren said your gulai is too pale, lah. Ha ha ha
Oh I was not fortinate enuf to try chendol cos the Indo chef in Wimbledon. Play tennis huh? 🎾 btw don't fold the roti cane lah.
The kind of establishment that leaves you feeling full and satisfied but with the hunger and longing to come back as soon as you've stepped out the door.
Portion sizes are good, authentic Malaysian flavours and spices and as a bonus the dishes are well presented (as I'm not one for prioritising presentation over the fundamental flavours but some of you may appreciate it).
Sambal Tumis also has lovely staff who are always happy and smiling.
