The food and the drinks are at the same level of a Michelin star restaurant, you are gonna be left with the desire to come back and try all the other dishes. Truly authentic and a hidden gem. Definitely the best choice for a quick meal or a romantic date.I Will come back to try the speakeasy cocktail bar. If you are looking for genuine food and amazing cocktails or sherry look no further.

Wow, last night was an absolute delight! My friend and I were wandering around town, searching for a place to grab a bite to eat, and that's when we stumbled upon The Larder House. Let me tell you, it was a memorable experience! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere at The Larder House was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly, making us feel right at home. The whole dining experience was uncomplicated, which was a breath of fresh air. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! Oh my goodness, it was beyond amazing. We ordered tapas, and I must say, they rival the best ones we've had in Spain. Each dish was bursting with flavour, and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. It was evident that the team at The Larder House takes great pride in their culinary creations. I want to give a special shoutout to James Fowler, who I assume is the mastermind behind these delightful dishes. Well done, sir! Your talent in the kitchen truly shines. Overall, I can't recommend The Larder House enough. If you're ever in town and craving some exceptional tapas, this is the place to be. The combination of a welcoming ambience, uncomplicated experience, and fantastic food makes it a must-visit spot. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back for more!

Came in just for drinks only upstairs. Fantastic atmosphere - not your 'usual' bar in terms of layout - someone has really made the effort with the decor. Very friendly and attentive service and the cocktails were brilliant. Definitely recommended.

I had not yet tried the roasts at Larderhouse, but had the privilege of doing so this Sunday just gone. I will say they are pricey - about £20 per head - but the portion of meat, especially with the ham hock, was insanely good value for money. I'm a big eater and I struggled to finish it. Vegetables were nice, with an interesting variety. Coffee wasn't too bad either. Service was brilliant - we were mostly served by Lucy, who was really attentive, and occasionally by Adriana who was lovely. Highly recommended!

Great sharing plates with outdoor seating. Perfect for a sunny day lunch after the beach with the dogs.

We ordered mostly starters and shared around the table. We always try as much as possible for as little as possible. The whole baby Mackerel (caught the day before) was served with a lemon, garlic, and lobster oil reduction - simply out of this world. Also, try the Portuguese corn bread! Real food, made with fresh ingredients, by real food lovers.

Excellence all round - once again - from the Larderhouse. Second time I've chosen them for a family special event and both times, a fantastic experience. Fabulous food, great service, lovely team. Thank you! We'll return and definitely recommend. :)

Where do I add the 6th star? This place was that good. The best Saturday evening in a long time. The food was incredible - the atmosphere in the restaurant terrific and the library upstairs where we drunk cocktails until close was superb. A fantastic place. Please, everyone go and give this place a try.

Good food, friendly staff. We went for lunch and were served quickly. Prices were reasonable and the three sharing platters we had between six of us were tasty and good quality. Only took photos of the desserts though. Docked one star for keeping the door open when it wasn’t quite warm enough, and for very strong cooking smells permeating all clothing despite having the door open. Booking a table through the web system required prepayment of £60 (deducted from the bill) which was a bit of a surprise, but worked smoothly

A boutique restaurant in southbourne high street. We have been going here for a number of years and this time tried a casual lunch on a Saturday. Staff are always friendly. Ordered sharing board (social Suzanne) and a few extra tapas plates. Food is fresh and vibrant and different to a lot of standard menus you see. As vegetarians we went for the garden sharing Suzanne, which was a little limited and not so adventurous as restaurants with more of a vege and vegan focus. If there was a little more creativity, this would definitely be a 5 star review.

Dined here as a table of 13 for Sunday roast and the Larderhouse did not disappoint ! The staff were very accommodating (even when I had a last minute addition to the table). We all had some cracking drinks in the cosy bar upstairs before being seated and served excellent food. 10/10 would come again (my partner is already trying to put a second visit on the cards asap). Thanks for having us, see you soon !
