Fantastic find! Went there on Wednesday night and were treated to amazing food & service by the friendliest owners & staff I have come across in a restaurant in Bournemouth! We were recommended the Angora Turkish red wine to complement our meal and it hit the spot perfectly. We were treated to a Turkish coffee at the end with real Turkish delight. I really recommend this Restaurant as a must visit! I am a Chef with 35 yrs experience & it was nice to be able to enjoy everything we were served! See you guys soon when we are back in Bournemouth!
I have been in the UK for almost 8 years and tried Turkish restaurants in different cities. I can easily say, this was the best Turkish food I have eaten here. We had "Ezme" and "Stuffed vine leaves" as starters. Both of them were amazing and vine leaves were just how my mum would make! I had the classic "Adana Kebab" and my girlfriend had "mix grill". This was the first time she tried Turkish food so we chose mixed grill for her so she could have the taste of the selection of different food. Both main dishes were exemplary. Very tender and succulent. As a Turkish person, this was like being back at home for me and as a British person, my girlfriend agreed that she would definitely want to eat more Turkish food in the future. It was a great first time experience for her and we would both highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The chef Şeref and all the staff are highly skilled and knowledgeable making this dinning experience a pleasure.
Absolutely lovely food. Really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff . Beautiful family run restaurant . Would highly recommend. Will definitely come back. Felt like I was in Turkey. Truly is a beautiful place. Dolma and karniyaruk are my absolute favourite foods when I go to Turkey. Well I can honestly say the food in agora was nicer then what I've actually had in Turkey.
If you're looking for a lovely, warm welcoming and amazing tasting food then Agora is the place to go! Great service and the food is excellently cooked, made me feel like I was in Turkey! Very authentic and family run business. Would highly recommend it, if you want to go for a high quality kebab or some drinks and meze's, perfect place for anyone with a huge variety of dishes.
Fantastic restaurant!!!!! Nice interior with friendly staff and some of the nicest food I have ever eaten. Would recommend to anyone and will certainly be back when I am next in the area.
Ate here last night and the food was amazing! Everything was cooked fresh and to perfection - good portion sizes too. And, all topped off with friendly and attentive staff x
I was previliged to belly dance in Agora Bournemouth on their first year anniversary last night. It was such a great atmosphere and the customers loved getting up to shimmy with me. I enjoyed a lovely meal afterwards which made me feel like back home in Turkey with lovely Turkish classical music background. Strongly recommend.

Glad to know they are now going places. All the best !!!
Chicken shish was perfect with tasy turkish steam rice and mezza. Very nice smiley staff too with reasonable prices and big portions.
Our usual restaurant was closed so decided to give this place a try , food was amazing , staff were very friendly and really good value . Will definitely being going back again !
Lovely authentic Turkish food.the best for this type of cuisine around ,in my opinion.
An impromptu visit and most delightful meal and friendly staff. Next time we will book in advance. Thank you
Excellent food, service and ambience. We each had starter, main and dessert and definitely over indulged - but it was just so tasty. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great eating experience. Spent £78 for 2 people for 3 courses, bread basket, and a bottle of wine, plus Turkish delight with our bill. Will definitely visit again.
The food here is simply delicious. We had as starter the seafood salad and the Kizartma. As a main we had the Moussaka and Seafood Guvec. Highly recommend the Gouvec. Atmosphere is nice and cozy and the staff very friendly.
Delicious mezze and lamb chops, have come back twice now for it. Lovely decorated interior with booths to sit in and chill vibe even on a busy Saturday, will continue to come back, best mediterranean/greek food I’ve found in Bournemouth
Great food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff - excellent family run businesses, even the chef came over to ensure everything met our expectations. Highly recommend….Mangal
Excellent as always!
Young man who served us was professional, attentive, very friendly, nothing was any trouble.
Food was delicious! Very fresh! Amazing menu, something for everybody.
Vegetarians, there is a great varied menu for you!
Plenty of fish dishes too.
You can ideally cater for a gluten free here!
Exceptionally high standards.
Clean & refreshing restaurant.
Glad we visited this Turkish/Greek restaurant. Amazing food with lots of choice on the menu. Draught beer available so you can get a proper pint. Staff are really nice. You can see some of the dishes being cooked over the coals by the chef under the copper extraction hood although because of this, you leave the restaurant smelling of smoke.
The best Turkish is Bournemouth! We absolutely love this place, food is always amazing. The owner and his family are always so nice, accomadinting and really value your visit. Thank you for having us in so many times.
First time in Bournemouth and found this lovely family run restaurant.
My fiancé is coeliac and I have a allergy.
The waiters/waitress was so helpful to adapt the food to our needs.
The food was amazing.. atmosphere was great. Great decor also... highly recommend!! When I return to Bournemouth, I will 100% be returning!
5* all round!
We went here for my grandfather's birthday, All the food was fresh and incredibly tasty, the staff were all wonderful and very welcoming. Honestly I can not fault them or the food one bit we really did enjoy everything.
It is a bit expensive but well worth the money.
We were looking for a nice little restaurant to finish off our day in Bournemouth and found this gem.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, just the right amount of Mediterranean flair, not too much to be kitsch, just enough to be cozy and pretty.
We went for the set menu, which includes 5 meze, a mountain of meat, plenty of sides and even dessert! The food is absolutely out of this world delicious. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Especially the chicken and lamb skewers were an absolute delight.
Can't recommend this restaurant enough!
Amazing place with a great customer service ♥️ we had babaganush, seafood salad, side salad, lamb and chicken charcoal kebabs. All was really tasty and the staff is amazing. Also the atmosphere is vibrant and ambient. Loved this place. When I am back to Bournemouth - will visit it again! 🙏🏻
Truly fantastic place. We have visited late on a Sunday night (open till 23) and decided to come back the next day - only highest praise from us. Very recommended! Delicious falafel, starters, mains, they even have fish.
Starters £5-6, mains £12-17 for most. Efes beer on tap. Wine available if necessary. U will not regret!
I got there on my birthday, which I celebrated on the 24th of July. Waitress was amazing and super friendly and caring and made my day absolutely perfect. Food was really tasty from the starters to the mains and I have nothing to complain, It was the best experience in Bournemouth and I recommend it to everyone as It made my birthday perfect. They even had a candle for my cake as we forgot to buy ours!
Lamb bayldi was stunning, thanks for the recommendation chef!
Great service and great food..so much food!! Tip: Go hungry. The staff were attentive without being in your face. Mousaka was delicious and the Humus the perfect starter. Chicken kebab was lighter but still large enough.
Marvelous food. The Agora lamb was excellent. No nonsense, efficient and friendly service. We went for our second visit and both the manager/chef and waitress recognised and greeted us. Prices are average; three of us has three courses and a couple of beers for £100 including 10% tip.
Saturday night and the place was almost full with one noisy table creating a vibrant atmosphere.
We'll be back and can recommend it.
