Nice little pub restaurant. Stopped here for a pint and a meal after a trip around the North of England.. Lots of seating and parking. Food and beer were a fair price for the area.
Definitely worth a stop if you're hungry.

Good service, prompt drinks and food delivery. Nice atmosphere. Only one small issue, part of one order was incorrect, wrong fries served but I am sure they would have changed them if I asked! Overall very good.

We were seated very quickly and a drinks order taken. Food order was taken in good time.
We didn't gave to wait long at all for our food, which was delicious, especially the fish and chips. The children enjoyed their meals too. Desert order taken not long after we'd finished the main course and desserts brought out promptly.

Excellent service! Staff were lovely and attentive. Food was hot, bought out in good time and super tasty! Venue itself felt clean and welcoming. This was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last! Especially as it is pet friendly and we can bring our dogs with us. The water bowl and treat pots for the dogs were a lovely touch!
We enjoy the atmosphere in the Sugar Mill whether eating or just popping in for a drink. The place is clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is no long wait for your meal and the food is well presented and hot when it arrives at the table. Staff check regularly to see if you are satisfied with everything. We will continue eating there.
Lovely meal. Food was spot on and the service was fab too. Really dog friendly, water and dog biscuits provided and also lots of fuss which our dog loved. Was able to order a sausage for our dog as a treat too which she loved. We will definitely be back and this will now be our regular place for an evening out. Lovely time had by all 😊🐶😊 only suggestion... we would love to have a doggy menu 😁🤞
Food and service very good, improvements have been makes in the kitchen.
One major issue however. Why do you feel that customers should be subjected to Xmas tunes when we are still in October ???
Far, far to early and I wasn’t the only person to make this comment as I heard other patrons say the same thing .
I have now visited the Sugar Mill on two occasions, each one being as successful as the last. The new menu is great, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, and the quality of the dishes has been outstanding. I couldn't recommend the place more and we will be returning again soon.
As usual, really friendly and professional staff in a great setting. The food was awesome but the only thing preventing a 5 star review is the fact that after initial order and delivery of food we had to hunt down a member of staff to order more drinks and dessert. Still really enjoyed the whole experience but felt the need to point out the lack of follow up table service
The service was good and efficient. Meal arrived hot, and steak was cooked to my liking. I would take friends and family here for a meal. See you at Christmas meal.
We were very pleased with the service, very friendly polite and helpful staff. Who made us feel welcome. The food was very hot and freshly cooked and tasted amazing, the chips are the best, just how I like them, the meal was well presented on the plate. Overall Excellent!!!

One question please. Can you tell me if it is a corporate decision for staff not to wear a uniform? As a customer, personally I find it a benefit to easily identify members of staff.

It was a last minute decision to visit due to the extremely hot weather we’ve been having. I wasn’t sure there would availability at short notice but using the app was very easy. Although it was very busy we didn’t have to wait long for service and the food was excellent. My husband had surf and turf and would have liked a couple of extra bits of scampi but that’s the only thing he could whinge about on the way home, and to be honest, he does have a big appetite so to other people it would probably have been fine. Will be back soon.
Food was as expected, totally acceptable for the price which was very affordable! Atmosphere was good, very loud but that's because the place was full of people and young children which is a good sign. Service was great!
The waitress was lovely let us take our time choosing. Very efficient. Liked the round table.
As we are older generation it's nice to be able to get smaller portions, so we can have a dessert
