Fantastic meal at this pub last night . The waitress Lauren was calm and efficient. The beef dumpling was a new and delicious starter, and the lotus biscoff chocolate bomb was heavenly. The pub is in such a good location right by the river and there is a good size car park . We were here celebrating our anniversary, and the team made us feel special.

We visited The Spade Oak on Fathers Day and, as you might expect, every table was full. The waiting staff were, therefore, a little stretched, but coped admirably, and the food was definitely worth waiting for.

MAR 2023 The new front of staff was outstanding. The steaks were delicious - only improvement I would suggest are hand cut chips as opposed to oven chips. Had a few of cocktails which were ok. FEB 2023 Outstanding service all round! Overall Sunday Roasts were delicious and we're delivered in a flash! Duo of Beef - Short Rib was outstanding and sirloin was ok. Trio of Roast - Pork was epic especially the crackling. Chicken delicious. Sirloin ok. Trimmings and gravy were on point. Portion sizes were perfect. Merlot was nom 🍷 I'll definetly be back for Sunday Lunch!

Tonight the service was a little slow which is not the norm but with very good reason and nevertheless we were given the best quality food and the right amount of attention. Absolutely impressed by the waitress dealing with all tables and patrons on that side of the venue. 6 out of 5 stars for Me β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜† Beautiful venue. Pet friendly. Amazing! Super super highly recommend to anyone and everyone making there way throigh Bourne end. Well done!

Went for dinner on Tuesday was absolutely lovely! Food was great. We were served by Carly who was so helpful, friendly, and great at her job. Such good customer service. And her recommendation for what to eat was spot on. So thank you again. Will definitely be returning.

Service excellent - although the restaurant was fairly empty. It felt a bit cold even though the radiators were on - a real fire would have been nice. A better choice of low-alcohol or alcohol-free beer/lager would have been nice

Visiting the area and friends suggested we call in after a walk along the Thames. Nice selection of nibbles and starters. The menu had a plenty of choices along with an extensive wine list. Will definitely return if in the area again.

Whenever I visit Bourne End, I like to take a walk by the river then venture down to the Spade Oak pub. The staff are great, really friendly and the dog by the bar was also very welcoming! Has been recently refurbished and looks great inside and out. Food was good and beer was even better. A great country pub any day of the year.

We visited the Oak restaurant on Saturday. We were pleased to be able to bookmat 3pm after spending the whole day shopping. Service was good, a bit slow only as I guess things were slowind day a bit. My partner has the diablo pizza that had a wonderful ceyst, and I had the vegan bowl that was fine, but a bit dull and felt that it was most cauliflower and watercress. It is located in a beautiful area surrounded by the countryside and I would recommend it if you are nearby.

Really lovely pub. The decor is gorgeous, really lovely to sit in and out if you've got the weather. Food was delicious, I had the pan fried prawn starter and cheese burger for main. Good drink choice. Accessible access to building.

Me and my girlfriend had the most delicious meal here this evening, service was sharp and friendly but the food was a step above especially compared to other pubs in the area, we ended up having a chat with who seemed to be the head chef, Dave after our dessert and during our nightcap, lovely bloke. We will definitely be back!

2023: A recent change of management and a refurb makes this a much more enticing and nice place for drinks and food. Tried the breakfast today and it was excellent. Lovely sitting outside on a summers morning. 2020: It's ok but probably time for some investment and changes with the facilities, the service and the beer and food. This place could be so much better
