This is a long awaited review! I visited here a long while ago with my boyfriend and family and I just haven’t stopped thinking about it. We travelled up here from strood as a special visit as we saw the place on google come up as one of the best restaurants near me. So we made the trip and it was more than worth it. The food was incredible, it was so hot and tasty I would honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The restaurant is also so beautiful and has a lovely feel to it, and the staff make this even better they are so kind and welcoming and provide great service, I definitely will make a point if coming back here when I can as it lived up to beyond my expectations.
I have to add in, the scotch egg was unbelievable, although I didn’t take a second to photograph it, it wad the best scotch egg I have ever tasted, I 100% recommend it!
We had a lovely anniversary meal here. The restaurant looks lovely inside, really cosy. The staff were great. We had champagne which was really nice. We both has the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly and really yummy. Will be returning
We had a wonderful experience here. The staff were all helpful and extremely friendly. Although the menu is not extensive, you won't be disappointed. We went for the pork Belly, and Boy was it good & Cooked to perfection. We highly recommend a visit and would definitely go again if in the area. Thank you to All at The Dairy.
Thought we'd try this restaurant as we were staying close by. What a wonderful place. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were just delightful 🙂.
We had the steak pie and the lamb which was absolutely delicious.
Followed by kentish gypsy tart. Had one each but we should have shared just one.
Too much for me but was really nice with loads of fresh cream.
Will come again and try the steak.
Very friendly people, very attentive service and quite generous portions. The restaurant itself is super cute. The cod had the best batter I have eaten in England, light a crispy. Chips were not very great. Scotch egg pretty good. The cheese is filo pastry oily... Would take it off the menu. Would come back if in the area! Really lovely people! Thank you

This was my first visit to the Diary. I definitely will be going back. The complete package is excellent. The food was perfect. The staff were as good as the food. I cannot believe i have never heard of this place till a couple of weeks ago.

We live about 30 minutes away from this lovely elegant village restaurant, and it's always a nice treat when we go there for a meal. The food is well priced, great service and well worth a repeat visit.
It's been several years between visits but I'm delighted the quality has stayed the same. We came here for lunch whilst out wedding dress shopping for the day. They were so accommodating when we said we had limited time between appointments and made sure our food was out on time. They also very kindly let us take dessert to go. They were just so friendly and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious and homemade and at a reasonable cost. An absolute must visit restaurant! We'll be back!
Great visit to The Dairy. Had sea bass and scotch egg starter. Beautifully cooked and presented and the ladies who served us were very attentive and helpful. Great experience for us on our trip to visit friends in Canterbury
This restaurant is local to us and is a real favourite. The welcome is always warm and friendly, and the service is good. The menu has just been updated with the right balance of new dishes but still keeping some old favourites. We both tried new additions to the menu, the delicious chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms and onions and wrapped in filo pastry, and a very good steak and ale pie. The portions are huge but we just about had room to squeeze in dessert / cheese board. A little gem of a restaurant, for relaxed yet efficient service and super friendly staff.
Had a great dinner there Easter weekend. Food and service was very good.
