Absolutely amazing Costa! You don’t normally see reviews hyping up costa motorway services, or motorway services at all for that matter. But the service was great, staff were friendly, even brought us our food, felt like a cozy restaurant!
I was served this morning by Kerry at Bothwell services, with a cheerful friendly smile. She is polite, approachable and engages in conversation making my day a little bit brighter. I am passionate about customer service and would like to say Costa are very lucky to have such a lovely employee like Kerry in their team. Keep making great coffee Kerry!!

Costa coffee shop within the road chef is a class above the machines in the petrol stations and shops. The services are good and and toilets are very clean. Outside area is well looked after and nicely landscaped. The girls working in Costa are obviously trained in coffee making from scratch,polite and always serve you with a smile.
Passed by this many times but happened to be coming past in the evening rush hour into Bellshill so came in for respite. Surprised by how much grass outside - which was nice. Not a large services but seems to be invaluable for transport drivers and has a few outlets. Has a couple of EV chargers but not sure if it's going to get a bunch more at the boundary between the lorry and car parks. Will be more likely to stop off here in the future.
After a long, tiring journey, we ( all four persons in the car ), decided that a stop and coffee would be a good idea. Within minutes we were into Bothwell serviced ( M74 southbound ). We were made most welcome by the Costa staff who were on duty. It felt like they were happy to see us and were happy to chat. The staff ( Amy in particular ), were very helpful and showed great interest in talking about our journey. Amy went on to help me with an issue I had with my ‘Costa loyalty card’ that had been bothering me for some time, slso explaining the recent changes, as to its usage. I am very happy with the service at this coffee stop. Your staff there, are a really good ambassadors for your company. Best Costa experience, for some time. I will re-visit and recommend to friends.

Small motorway service station. With coffee shop and small retail outlet. Toilets are clean. Staff friendly. Only accessible if going southbound leaving Glasgow.
