What a place this is first class, and the food is ace been going for a few years now. Beer is always nice, and the chef is one of the best i have come across. As you can see from the pics, it is delicious π great atmosphere as well.
I only live 10 minutes up the road and have been meaning to try the food out for ages. I wish u had done it sooner as it was amazing. I had a sirloin steak, and It was cooked perfectly how I wanted it. My partner had a burger and looked amazing too with great presentation. Doombar on draft was a bonus for me too π. Very happy and will be back again soon. πππ»π»
We were late coming to dine for lunch after traffic jams and the very kind staff squeezed us in, the food was amazing and promptly served. A good selection of ales was on offer . Nice friendly pub itβs a yes from us we will definitely return !
Been recommended to us and we finally got to see for ourselves today. Beautiful place, really cosy, welcoming and clean. The staff were helpful and polite. My husband is gluten free but they have gluten free peroni and a range of dinners and desserts gluten free.
I had steak, it was cooked to perfection and presentated beautifully at an amazing price! My husband had the huge gammon and again was beautifully cooked and presented amazingly with a very cheap price tag!!
Best meal I've had in a good while and will definitely be back in the not so distant future and would definitely recommend 100%
Delicious freshly cooked food, big portion sizes and cheap prices. Paid the same amount at other restaurants nearby for half the food. Would highly recommend.

Relatives booked us a table for a family gathering on 19/11/22 at 1pm. I didn't know what to expect as couldn't find a menu online prior to meeting up.
Menu was just what I wanted - classic pub food, with a few modern dishes. I went for a 'huge' gammon... well worth the Β£13.95. There was a 'normal' sized gammon too, but that's not my style.
Anyway, it was perfectly cooked. Couldn't fault it. Genuinely big, proper thick gammon, must have been an inch thick. Not like a chain pub where you get a bunch of weird thin little 4oz gammons or whatever. Nice homemade chips and a decent homemade coleslaw too.
Rest of the table looked nice too, few relatives went for the pie of the day which turned out to be steak and Guinness, and I must say looked rather good.
I can't comment on beers or anything as I had a 30 min drive there and back so I had Coke, can't really review that - I mean it was real Coke in a glass bottle, tasted like Coke should.
I had a sticky toffee pudding for afters - and it was also rather good. Decent portion of pudding. Couldn't fault that either. Can't remember if it was Β£4.95 or Β£5.95. Either way it was a fair price for a decent bowlful of warming sticky toffee.
Staff attentive, food was very nice and also I felt very reasonably priced for the quality and portion size.
Other patrons were friendly, seemed like a nice community. All things considered it was a very nice meal, and very good value for money given the portions and quality. Even moreso specially in the current climate.
It's a bit of a trek from Spalding but I'll definitely consider it for the next time I need a pub meal!

Big thanks to Anthony and all the other staff that made us very welcome. The food is absolutely superb. You will need to book for the burger nights on Tuesday and steak nights on Wednesday. Full menu also available. We ended eating here 3 nights in a row during our holiday π. Dog friendly eating area inside tooπ.

Absolutely delicious π I have ordered starter, main and a dessert and couldn't get up later as portions are so huge.
Interior is very cosy, staff friendly and overall it's a nice place to spend an evening
Staying in the area and visited The Wheatsheaf twice and very was happy with the quality and price of the food Service can be slightly slow but the food is waiting for and all the staff we met were excellent as well.
The large gammon steak is 2 huge pieces of gammon
Called in 2 times on our holidays 1st time I had lambs shank 2nd time I had steak pie finished off with their chocolate pudding & icecream & what lovely meals they were tasty & filling the waitresses always have a smile on their faces π±ββοΈπ±ββοΈ

1st visit with 2 friends from Nottingham. We were very impressed with the homemade food and service, including the bowl of water for my dog.

This place was alive when we went on a Thursday night for meal I had the pie of the day was so nice partner had scampi and loved them so big and tasty, staff very friendly could not fault at all, will be going back soon
Popped in on the off chance of grabbing some food. We weren't disappointed. Great portion sizes and presentation. Very happy to find this place after a long drive.
