What a place this is first class, and the food is ace been going for a few years now. Beer is always nice, and the chef is one of the best i have come across. As you can see from the pics, it is delicious 😋 great atmosphere as well.

We were late coming to dine for lunch after traffic jams and the very kind staff squeezed us in, the food was amazing and promptly served. A good selection of ales was on offer . Nice friendly pub it’s a yes from us we will definitely return !
Been recommended to us and we finally got to see for ourselves today. Beautiful place, really cosy, welcoming and clean. The staff were helpful and polite. My husband is gluten free but they have gluten free peroni and a range of dinners and desserts gluten free.

Delicious freshly cooked food, big portion sizes and cheap prices. Paid the same amount at other restaurants nearby for half the food. Would highly recommend.
Relatives booked us a table for a family gathering on 19/11/22 at 1pm. I didn't know what to expect as couldn't find a menu online prior to meeting up.
Menu was just what I wanted - classic pub food, with a few modern dishes. I went for a 'huge' gammon... well worth the £13.95. There was a 'normal'

Big thanks to Anthony and all the other staff that made us very welcome. The food is absolutely superb. You will need to book for the burger nights on Tuesday and steak nights on Wednesday. Staying in the area and visited The Wheatsheaf twice and very was happy with the quality and price of the food Service can be slightly slow but the food is waiting for and all the staff we met were excellent as well.

Called in 2 times on our holidays 1st time I had lambs shank 2nd time I had steak pie finished off with their chocolate pudding & icecream & what lovely meals they were tasty & filling the waitresses always have a smile on their faces 👱♀️👱♀️

1st visit with 2 friends from Nottingham. We were very impressed with the homemade food and service, including the bowl of water for my dog.

This place was alive when we went on a Thursday night for meal I had the pie of the day was so nice partner had scampi and loved them so big and tasty, staff very friendly could not fault at all, will be going back soon
