Called in n our way home to Morpeth. Had a Sunday lunch. It was fantastic, more meat on my plate than I have ever had and it was gorgeous. The lady who served the lunch was really nice and friendly and I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.
Great breakfast, big plate of lovely food cooked. perfect, could not fault it. Service good too. Very busy too which is a good sign on a sunday morning

Went for lunch yesterday, I had lamb my hubby and friend pork. Loads of lovely veg and not a carrot in sight they know we hate carrots. Gorgeous gravy, and plenty of it usually pubs are stingy with gravy! Had a lovely time will be back again for sure.
The Welsh T Band loved our first gig at the Three Horse Shoes, Boroughbridge! Thanks to everyone there for making it fantastic!

We're here on holiday and value for money is absolutely amazing.
We came in for a few drinks one afternoon and the chap behind the bar was lovely and so attentive.
We looked at the menu and decided we'd try for dinner the following evening.
Well we were not disappointed! The lamb shanks were to die for and for pudding we had cherry pie and sticky toffee pudding, also very tasty. The portion sizes are huge and we definitely didn't leave hungry.
It was nice to find a local pub that allowed dogs.
Will definitely return when we next venture up this way!
Now known as the 'Tap on the Tut' as changed ownership I believe.
Small menu but food made well and great value for money. Maybe more catering for vegetarian/vegan customers would be nice. We aren't in that category but unfortunately our friend couldn't eat there (to be honest we didn't ask so it may have been possible)
But lovely service and very helpful staff.
Nice outdoor area.
Friendly pub with a good atmosphere. On the pricey side mind you. New food menu soon.

3rd visit, with food. Excellent service. Simple menu but comforting food. Had an excellent night here.
We stopped here on the way home after a walk in the countryside, the staff on the bar were really helpful. The food was tasted fantastic, we had a gamon and chips and a mix grill. The portion sizes were generous we hoped to be able to try dessert but we were beaten by our mains.
Definitely on my list to visit again.

Staying on the camping +caravan site nearby +looking for somewhere to have a proper dinner + boy did we find it. Great traditional pub. Lovely food ,very generous portions +reasonably priced. I had pork it was really tender. Hubby was very happy as there was racing on the telly (Dutch TT) .Will definitely call in again when in the area.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to call in here for a couple of drinks. A nice pub with friendly staff and local drinkers who made us feel welcome. Good reasonable drink prices. It's a shame they had to call last orders at 10pm on a Saturday night as no one was coming in, just like all pubs these days. Seems like a dying trade.
Amazing lunch all homemade with huge portions. Lovely friendly staff and great service. Our 1st visit and it wont be our last.
Stopped for Lunch on a Bank Holiday. Huge tasty portions of food at a very reasonable cost. Our three dogs made to feel welcome too.
Sunday lunch today was fabulous. There was plenty of it. We had the beef and lamb, which were so good. Prices are reasonable too.
We had a fabulous meal with fresh veg and homemade pie absolutely delicious. Very friendly establishment. Will definitely go back

Stopped here today for a meal, the food and atmosphere was brilliant. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, the home cooked food was fantastic and I can’t imagine anyone leaving still hungry.
