What a absolute gem of a place this is! My friend and i had the most delicious afternoon tea in the beautiful library. I loved the music in the background and the service was friendly and efficient. We visited Merrymeade tea rooms with our two dogs as I’d seen they offer a doggy afternoon tea, a % of which goes to the local dog charity. It’s a beautiful setting with the country park next door for a walk to build up an appetite

Small, cute, quiet, quaint. Great little afternoon tea spot. Plenty of food, go hungry. Pitcher of Pimms was very good value - we got about 9 glasses out of the jug and still had more we didn’t finish!

Afternoon tea served on the lawn, so can't comment on the interior but apperantly the interior wooden panelled walls are very nice!

My brother and I used the Merrymeade Tea Rooms for our father’s funeral wake on 3 July. The receptivity of the team was excellent – we were made to feel comfortable at a sensitive time. I take my service users here and all the staff are so friendly and commentating towards us. The food is nice and fresh. And the facilities are clean and also a friendly atmosphere. Keep up the great work Karen and Alex and all the staff

Had my baby shower here In feb 2022. Was an amazing day. Had a private room for 20 people and it was set up beautifully. Staff were so accommodating and we all had plenty of food which is all of high quality.
