Reviews Melia's Place

Every time I’ve visited the food has been great, I highly recommend an omelette at breakfast and for lunch I’m usually torn between the home made vegetable tart or broccoli and bacon salad with beetroot. Choosing cakes is another dilemma altogether. I love that Melia’s serves tea pigs in a variety of flavours and has a lovely atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff.

Had lunch at Melias with a friend. Lovely setting with delicious food - had the ham and cheese tart and salad, followed by a great smoothie. Friendly service. Am definitely going back soon!

Held a Baby Shower here for 16 people, 1 coeliac, Emelia catered above and beyond our expectations- The food was delicious, and adapted to suite all! Everyone commented on how fantastic it was...and how full they were afterwards! Thank you for helping to create the perfect afternoon for my friend. We will be back for cake soon! X

The salted butter granary toast was the best I've ever had 🤤! Coffee was good, and the breakfasts were of a generous size and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly, only wish that our dog could go inside the café, but understandable 🦮

Nice cafe with large inside seating area and a few outside tables close to the main road. Large bifold windows in one section with seating next to them is a nice touch. Reasonable prices... coffee, cake and cooked food available. Limited parking outside, but close to town centre parking and on street parking close by.

Lovely, modern coffee shop. Ample number of tables in and out. Have visited twice on the bike, once outside (during the summer) and once inside (winter & raining). On our last trip I found the carrot cake to be a little dry, though the coffee was good. A decent cycle stop in the Borough Green Area!

Lovely cafe, friendly staff & loads of seating in and outdoors. Ideal stop mid-cycle. I only had iced coffee & a cake but the brunches looked incredible. Will return

Pros: great decor, classy establishment, young staff. Cons: annoying Radio 1 style music, rather expensive small portions, one tiny sausage, beans served in what amounted to a caterpillar’s water bowl - for someone who generally has half a can there were so few you could count them!

The best homemade cakes around, cheese muffins are my favourite, nice atmosphere and staff, thoroughly recommend.

Such a lovely venue and great staff. Breakfast falls short though, the English breakfast came out way too fast, way too hot, indicating and tasting microwaved. However, will be back to try for lunch as great spot.

Stopped here for morning coffee with 2 sisters and my granddaughter. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy with in and outdoor seating. The staff couldnt have been nicer and the coffee and cakes were very good. Good prices too.

I regularly pass this place on the way to shops in the village & it always appears busy, so made an opportunity to pop in for a coffee and cake. Impressed, is my verdict. As from my other coffee shop reviews I have done, being a Black coffee drinker, I can't comment on the more fancy drink alternatives on offer; but the Americano I had was flavoursome, a good strength & size. The Coconut & Raspberry cake slice was delicious & a good sized portion for the price. Enough seats / tables about & space between them too. Minor observation, was that due to the number of people inside, all chatting, volume levels were a little high, with some element of conversational echo about. But it wouldn't stop me going back, when needing a stop-off while out & about.
