Been going here for 40yrs ! The refurb is the best thing thats happened 2 it , had many meals there excellent food never had a bad meal and lovely staff highly recommend it X
Sunday evening family meal for 7. Food was quite frankly delicious; we were all served at the same time which in my experience is a rarity, particularly as the restaurant was very busy. Will definitely be coming again and I can highly recommend the Beef and Mushroom pie and the sticky toffee pudding.............absolutely to die for!
I love it here.....the food is always great,the staff are always lovely and have never been disappointed by our visits to the Royal Exchange and they have a great loyalty scheme too .I'd thoroughly recommend it.
Absolutely fabulous, friendly staff who take time to actually talk to you, lovely menu, deliciously presented tasty food, fairy priced, it’s so lovely to have a village pub frequented by locals & those from further afield made to feel welcome! Well done guys ���

A beautifully decorated English pub with an excellent menu and reasonable prices. The food was superb, as was the service (thanks Chloe). I had the Steak & Ale pie and Bread & Butter Pudding, and they were both delicious. Highly recommended.

My wife and I attended for our second wedding anniversary dinner last night. I have to say, the service is beyond excellent, friendly, polite and quick. The lady who seated us offered us a glass of complimentary wine each as a gift for our anniversary. I thought this was just the best thing of all, such a simple gesture and really made us feel special.
We had a booth near the kitchen and the smells were amazing, we had a good view and were comfortable with no back pain from the benches.
The steak was the best I have eaten in years, and I've eaten enough ribeye to know! My wife's meal was also perfect, great portion sizes and fair pricing. The drinks were crisp and cold, brilliant selection of local cider, beer etc. Including my personal favourite, hazy hog from the hogs back.
There's nothing to complain about and everything from the decor to the service is exactly what you want. £45 a head for 3 amazing courses and drinks.
I'm looking forward to going back for my birthday meal in a few weeks to try the ribs! Can't wait!
Visited for Brunch on a saturday at 12, £32 per person for food, and unlimited drinks. The food was delicious and the Mimosa's were perfect! The decor inside is so nicely done as well. Cant wait to go back!!
Visited again for the Coronation afternoon tea, absolutely lovely at only £16.95 each plus £7 for prosecco!
Extremely tasty food. Very clean. Great decor and friendly helpful staff. I'm vegetarian and my girlfriend is vegan and coeliac and we sti felt like we had choice. The staff were extremely helpful with this and their colour coded plate system for allergies put my girlfriend at ease. They also seemed to have an excellent range of drinks. A first visit to this very well appointed and pleasant local pub and restaurant. We visited just after opening for their Saturday brunch and the menu offered good options, including vegetarian and children’s fare. The food we ordered was hot, tasty and well presented. The Mozzo coffee is also from a local Hampshire company, which I thought was a nice touch. We will return to try their main menu on another occasion.
Great food, great atmosphere and excellent staff. Dog friendly. Prices can appear expensive, but portions are large and belie the price. Get the app and make the most of some of the offers too.

Had an impromptu light lunch with my mother in law who is a coeliac. Great service, extensive gluten free menu and the best chips ever. We will definitely be back.
Lovely, friendly staff and a nice venue for meeting with friends and family. I had the venison pie and it was delicious..maybe a bit more meat would suit some people, but for me it was just right with lots of gravy and tasty!
This place used to be my local when I lived in Lindford and went there a few times, I moved to Bordon recently and now visit it even more as it’s the right distance for a dog walk!!
It’s small but has a nice calm vibe to it, no where is cheap any more so I’ll say the prices are reasonable. The few times I have eaten there I’ve thought the food was great too
Lovely dinner Steak and Onion Pie, Veg and Chips. Service and Staff were fantastic. James was our waiter he was very attentive and really good with the kids. Top bloke.
I attended an early morning BNI breakfast referred business networking meeting. The venue is very good and the quality of service and breakfasts is excellent. If you like good strong coffee, then you can’t beat it. The BNI members were all very welcoming. There is a strong focus on business, but fun and enjoyable to boot.
Quality local pub, great food, decent live music on weekends.
Today we ordered a roast to go and we were not disappointed! We had the 3 meats which came with all the trimmings and a very generous portion of spuds, veg, gravy and Yorkshire. Absolutely fabulous and collectively we highly recommended it 😊
Another wonderful dinner! The Wild Boar Burger was Delicious! I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The food is great! The service is fabulous, the staff are super helpful/aim to please! Please do pop in, you will not be disappointed!
Cheerful and welcoming staff. Pleasant decor and nice feel to pub interior. Good selection of items on menu. All of our group were pleased with the meals we chose. Happy to recommend this venue.
We booked the pub for a party for my husband’s 50th birthday. Right from the start, Amy and Chloë could not have been more helpful in terms of suggestions for set up and catering. They too away all the stress of planning and all I had to do was deliver the decorations and the birthday cakes and they did the rest! They transformed the space into a spectacular party venue, personalised for my husband. It looked absolutely fantastic! The hot and cold buffet for 50 people was absolutely delicious, constantly replenished and had everyone coming back for second and third helpings. The atmosphere they created with their friendliness and professionalism was wonderful and we really can’t thank them enough for helping to make the evening such a success. Thank you so much Amy, Chloë and the whole team - you were all fabulous p!
