Fantastic beers and food. Well worth the regular short trip from Seascale for me. Brook House staff are welcoming & very friendly, place is cosy & inviting with log burner & open fires. 5 stars from me
Absolutely blown away by this place. We were greeted with the warmest welcome and the service throughout the evening was exceptional. Lovely wine, but the real surprise was the food, starters were prepared with a focus on interesting flavour combos where as the pie we had for mains was out of this world. The beef feel apart and was so tender, the veg was cooked spot on, the leeks were supreme. Chips were fluffy and crispy and the mash was hearty and it was all topped off with a delicious gravy. Puddings also did not disappoint!
The whole evening turned the weekend right around for us.....will definitely return!!
As a tourist from Switzerland I've eaten in a variety pubs over the years in this country, but never had such a wide choice of really exellent dishes. We tried several courses from the menu and each one was delicious. Highly recommended!
Great beer, the Stout was delicious! The food was superb both in presentation and taste. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was our first visit, but it will not be our last!
We stayed at the cottage across the road and made the wise choice to eat here each night. Food was absolutely amazing and the staff where really lovely and welcoming. When we first arrived the whole area had a power cut but the pub still managed to feed us and keep the fire going so we where warm. Can think of worse places to be during a blackout lol. Would definitely advise anyone in the area to pop in, you won't be disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Friendly staff and local people, very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend . Nice beer too....
Food, service and staff are first class. If you get the chance to visit Eskdale, The Brook should be the place for lunch or dinner.
