Great village/family pub! Lovely food, great pint, friendly staff/locals, pool table, darts board and juke box! What more could you ask for?! The new managers have really improved the place!Lovely to see an old gem shine again
Been coming here for a while due to being the only pub around that accepts dogs and does food! Today we Went in for a warm up after a cold days work. Found the open fire in the ‘locals room’ lit and well stoked, had a bit of banter with the locals who had no issues with us not speaking welsh, then had some food. Cracking 12oz gammon egg and hand cut chips with a good beer or three, maybe four too. Great to meet new owners Paul and Fay and have a chat about the plans for the Newborough (which sound great!). Hope you guys make a success of it and bring in the shortcrust pastry! M.
Best pub carvery we've all ever had. Even the Yorkshire puddings were to Yorkshire standards!! Lovely staff and great atmosphere. We will be back x
We were there on the 7th of April celebrating a friends 50th birthday , they had decorated our table with banners and balloons and the service was great , the food was also good thoroughly recommended .
Gorgeous little pub with lovely friendly staff. Took refuge in here whilst being battered by storm opehila. All made to feel very welcome, by staff and the locals, especially the dog! Fab food, highly recommended xxx

We visited the Newborough Arms with our children for some food and a drink. Currently, food is only served Thurs-Sun (carvery Sunday) after 5PM. Outside there is a lovely garden with picnic benches and there was a bouncy castle which the boys loved. Inside was nice and spacious, the staff were lovely and very accommodating for our needs. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, we ate in the pubs restaurant area. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area
Dined as a party of 12 to celebrate a birthday. Lovely food with great service. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and there was even entertainment!! Had a really enjoyable evening.
Went for Sunday carvery, food was great, although my Yorkshire was a tad overdone. For the price though great value. Not sure if it was a mistake but only paid £5 for a small plate and a large plate was just over £10. Will definitely go again.
Sunday carvery very good size and good taste loved it.
Delicious burgers. Dog friendly. Great and welcoming staff who all checked on us to see if we were okay. Great local pub and my partner enjoyed the local ale. Has its own parking, so that's a plus. I wish they offered more local Welsh meals like cawl or Welsh cakes. But other than that, great place and great food! Would go again! X
Stop of on the way to Wales, party of 9 we walked in and they catered for us all. Club sandwiches are beautiful & everyone else cleared there plates.
Lovely little local, very decent food, good portions for the price.
This pub has been brought back to life. Food was delicious. Definitely recommend 👌
We found this pub whilst staying in a cottage in the local area. The barman and the locals are really friendly. Made us feel so welcome and great to hear them speaking Welsh.
We had food here too and that was really decent pub
grub.
Lovely open fire too. We all agreed that if we lived here this would be our local.
Little gem of a place.
Very tasty homemade food and exceptionally good value. Friendly, warm and welcoming staff, my Labrador was brought a bowl of water, without me asking for one! Really nice atmosphere here too, we'll definitely be going back.
Great traditional pub with plenty of atmosphere and very nice food, tremendous value.
Had an evening meal last night. We had two dogs and sat with them in the bar with some of the locals and there was a lovely atmosphere. We had Hunters Chicken and Fish and Chips. Both meals were really tasty and filling. Prices were really good value. Staff were friendly and attentive. Big car park at the rear. Thank yoi to staff for a very pleasant evening.
This is one of the best place for your sunday lunch 10 out 10 ,you have to book in advance as everyone wants to eat here .Food ,staff and chef ,are the best yet ,very welcoming, fantastic atmosphere, just perfect.
We came across The Newborough Arms on A Tuesday night. We were made to feel very welcome by Rachel and her staff. We managed to pick up some new words of Welsh, and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the locals.
We went back 2 more times for our evening meals and the food was excellent. I would happily recommend this establishment to everybody.
A very good Local Inn,
We look forward to visiting again soon.
Thanks for feeding us

Absolutely lovely place! The food is delicious and you get extremely good value for money! The lady who was serving us (I'm guessing the proprietor) was beyond lovely! I can't recommend this perfect little pub enough!
