Stayed here for a night and ate at the pub. We were in one of the older rooms which certainly had it's charm while still being well maintained and clean. The pub has a nice aesthetic and good selection of draught beer. The fish special we ordered was very nice but the pie somewhat bland. There is pl
Desserts were amazing. Not too keen on the vegan noodles, but the overall ambience and service were great. Amazing little gift shop which had so much reasonably priced stuff and gifts. Set in such a beautiful location too with a rich history. Would love to go back for the paranormal event! Jus
Went with friends for Sunday lunch. First time I had been in the Jamaica Inn for some 15 years and it has improved somewhat. Service was excellent and the Sunday roast was good and plentiful with plenty of veggies served separately. Choice of beef, turkey and gammon or a mix was available Staff were
First time visit...outstanding. steeped in history..very spooky.
Food was simply outstanding our waitress Kate was very polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble..we will be back in the summer
Visited the museums which were very interesting, well worth a visit. Exit is through the bar, initially was only getting coffee but ended up having lunch. The best steak and ale pie I have ever had! Exceptionally tender beef in a lovely puff pastry shell, my hubby had the special of a trio of sausag
Five stars across the board. The whole experience was excellent. Can't fault it at all. The steak and chips was one of the best I've had in awhile. Atmosphere superb ! Loved the Halloween decorations.
Wow, what a fantastic atmosphere to dine in! The food was great, the service a bit better than many other restaurants we've been to, and the building itself was fascinating. I had a vegan option while my boyfriend had something like breakfast, and we were both quite happy with the meal. I appreciate
Great place, staff are friendly. Food was lovely, we stopped by for Sunday lunch, definitely got enough food. Had a walk around the museum, gift shop and farm shop they have there. steeped in so much history really interesting. Even though we live down the road I would stop there over night. The vie
Always remember seeing this place driving down to Cornwall with Mum and Dad on the way to our holidays.
We were staying at a hotel nearby so chose to drop in for something to eat.
They have a dog friendly area in the restaurant. Although there is no table service which is really the only let down.
The rooms at the Jamaica Inn have been upgraded and most - but not all - are dog-friendly. (They provide a dog towel, bowls and treats so they really are dog-friendly).
The bar area and part of the restaurant are also dog-friendly.
The hotel has recently been taken over by a company, so it is no lon
Fantastic one night break. Rooms, service and food all excellent. Museum worth a visit. Good selection of food and drink.
Great place to visit. The supervisor and I use that term loosely, taking the breakfast orders today, wasn't interested or bothered. She got our order wrong and another couples because she didn't listen or care! When the breakfast arrived, it was wrong again. I felt sorry for the lady who gave it to
The museum is small but really interesting and worth doing. The gift shop is just brilliant and the food is outstanding albeit expensive for what it is (the sandwich pictured was £10). I try to visit the Jamaica Inn at least once a year and I'm never disappointed. The staff are always pleasant too.
Food was great, staff friendly and helpful. Place was spotlessly clean. Loved the museum. Food was great value. Would return if passing and definitely recommend it.
It's been many years since I last visited the Jamaica Inn. It's obvious that a considerable investment has been made to update and upgrade this historic Inn.
The rooms are well appointed, spotlessly clean, with finishing touches that add to their character.
The cosy bar has a good selection of drink
Stopped off to get a bit to eat after a day out at Fowey. Weather was good, so we got a table outside, although there was plenty of seating inside. Lots of parking spaces. We had drinks, main meals and puddings, and all the courses were very nice and reasonably priced. Before leaving, we went into
Arrived on speck for a Sunday lunch, en route home from Cornwall, car park is flat and adjacent to the building. Lunch was £16 each for roast beef, which was cooked to perfection. The building complex is very interesting, a mix of old and more recent, a gift shop, farm shop and museum also within. T
