Never been in here before but nipped in for a quick beverage to tick it off my list. It’s not the most modern of pubs but I hate modern pubs so this is perfect for me. Lots of people in just chatting away enjoy the ale. It’s not a big pub so I can get busy fast but that’s okay. That’s what it’s all about at the end of the day
I almost always visit the Griffin for a cold one when I'm in town, lovely little pub.

Decent pub, friendly staff. Only gets 4 stars due to not necessarily having any of my preferred beers on tap. That is all.
On my way to a works do in town. Arrived early so niped in The Griffin for one. 1st time. What a great little boozer. Cheap n cheerful. Place was packed at 13.30. Real happy atmosphere. Give it a go if your in town.
The only genuine old school pub around !! Staff are excellent! Nothing too much trouble, highly recommended if you want a proper down to earth friendly pub ! 5*****
Proper Lancashire pub. Full of top and interesting people. Good, friendly Landlord and bar staff are a maker. Just round the corner from the train and bus station so good for a quick pint and also good for a quick gallon.
The Griffin is a good local pub, in Bolton town center, close to the new public transport hub, friendly staff and clientele, well stocked bar, with quality drinks. Not bad prices as well.
Amazing little pub only went in because i never entered but glad i did now have a new favourite pub in town 😀
I love this place I spend more time here than at home. It’s the best pub in Bolton by far. Love the Griffins no1 fan xoxo

Great place,happy atmosphia, good beer at amazing prices.play most games i,e pool,darts,don ect..good all round old fasioned pub.fits me well.
