Particularly rough but friendly also — felt like I was on holiday in the beer garden haha — and appreciated seeing Guinness alcohol free in a pint sized can

I didn't eat here so can't comment on food. The staff are super quick and super happy. The atmosphere is very much a locals pub where everyone knows each other. But, that doesn't mean they aren't welcoming to a new face. They are. This is not a posh or fancy place and I can imagine it gets quite lively later on but I love it and can't wait to return.

Had major throat op so difficulty speaking/drinking. Staff not only listened to me but accomadated my disability in speech and drink request. Five stars isn't enough and as a bonus the clientele are the friendliest especially to someone a bit alternative. LGBTQ+ Community friendly ❤️🦅

What a nice surprise, The Old Three Crowns in Bolton has a secret garden. They've converted the back car park into an outdoor seating area. They've laid down fake grass, and put up a sturdy shelter covered in blue tarpaulin and added a number of picnic tables. They already had a small brick courtyard which has 2 large umbrella's covering a number of tables but this extra space provides much more seating. I was surprised just how many people it could hold. Speaking to the landlord he explained that, once able, they'll have bands on and plan to start serving food. The space is perfect for bands once some nice lighting is added.

Fab place, great at weekends, but all the tables, chairs and carpets could do with a good clean. Tables are thick with grime. Pub does have a great atmosphere, but just needs a good clean..... 👍🏻

Absolutely tasty, fresh home cooked food. I had the cheese and onion pie which was the best i have had. Loads of cheese and lovely flaky pastry! My auntie had the steak and ale pie. It was in a very deep oven dish lots of meat and gravy. Proper chips not frozen chips. Will go again. As the staff were really nice and friendly too which always makes a difference. They do a special offer on sunday roast dinners too I've been told .
