Best fish and chips in the area. Staff friendly and obliging. Food excellent quality with generous portions. Good value for money. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic new chip shop. Attention to detail with the ingredients, menu and shop fit. Gluten free fry and other extras. Ive been enough times of last few week to say you won't be disappointed. Real quality food and the service is a real plus point, chatty, smiley friendly faces. Unlike some of their competitors. Really enjoyed the curry sauce tonight which has to be right in any chippy. Passed onto my mates with Gluten Free needs, they loved it too. Keep up the good work Poseidon. 👍
This evening is the first time I have eaten from here, we ordered the large cod, 2 sausages and some chips (all gluten free) and it was beautiful! By far the best fish I have ever eaten! The kids have both thoroughly enjoyed the sausages and chips so much they wouldn't even share it 🤣 totally recommend to both gluten free and non gluten free people. We ate it so fast I forgot to take a photo! 🤣👍🏽
This is a high quality fish and chip shop. Gluten free and very fresh tasty cod. A very clean and hygienic store with very friendly and helpful staff. The range of items on the menu is interesting. Give it a go you won't be disappointed
I visited the Poseidon fish bar today and ordered 2 large portions of Cod and Peas .When I was informed of the cost my initial reaction was ' by the christ it had better be good, have you charged me for a great white shark or a blue whale? ' The reaction from the staff and probably the owners was humorous and assured me that you get what you pay for. I can assure you that I did and it was worth every penny. Thanks for a memorable Friday night chippy tea, I did make them chuck in some free tartare sauce😋😋😋
We often come from Gatley near Manchester airport to go to a pizza shop on the same road as Poseidon's but now we have found this AMAZING chippy things are going to change. I would highly recommend this brilliant chippy to any one and everyone. The food is perfect and freshly cooked to order. The staff are extremely nice and friendly and the prices are very good as well but to be fair i would expect to pay more for the excellent quality of food you get. One last thing they cook the chips in separate oil to anything else which is good news for vegetarians like my wife. Well done to the team in Poseidon's your doing a fantastic outstanding job.
It seems I am now a regular at this lovely chippy. The fish is cooked to order each time and only covered with a light coating of batter. I manage to finish the fish, chips and peas every time as they taste so good. As soon as you walk in you can tell the place has been fitted out to the highest standard. Expect a short wait but you won't be disappointed when you open your custom designed divided box. A first class family run chippy with friendly staff.

Been here for a takeaway a number of times and always been excellent. Crispy fish batter. Lovey chips and on occasions as a treat a pot of curry sauce. Fish and chips come in a cardboard box so as to keep the fish and chips from going mushy. Lovely, no hesitation in recommending Poseidon.
My husband was on a plane last weekend and someone told him there was a new fish 'n' chip shop near us that does gluten free! I can't eat from a normal chippy without getting a bellyache afterwards so I was thrilled. We tried it out tonight and it was excellent. Lovely chips, beautiful battered fish and even gluten free gravy! Chippy teas are back on the menu. See you again soon, Poseidon's x
Perfectly positioned next to the shop I actually visited. I really enjoyed looking inside the window and noted what nicely kept fish and chip shop it is. If the food tastes as good as the décor looks, you are in for a treat. Don't let Google decide where to drop smart bombs.
So the wife asked me would I like fish and chips, I said yeah. So she ordered, I asked where from she said from POSEIDON. A very friendly guy brought the meal to our doorstep. Delivery was quick and the meal tasted absolutely lovely. We will be ordering again, very impressed, keep up the good work...
Brilliant chip shop. Everything cooked to order so takes a couple minutes longer but it's worth it. Lovely menu from traditional fish and chips as well as new potatoes and steamed fish and vegetables. Worth a visit. Chips are lovely not greasy at all. Definately recommended.
