Fish and chip shop??? Hahaha it’s WAY more than that title suggests! Inside it’s like a fancy hotel restaurant complete with grand piano! Really pleasant place to have something to eat. My favourite is their gorgeous breakfast. Mmmmmmm.

Had a family outing to the Olympus before going to the octagon theatre. Some of our party had come from Cheshire and some from Stoke. They were all really impressed. The order was taken quickly and food was served promptly. I had plaice which was excellent. Really great value for money in a pleasant restaurant setting with live pianist.

A quiet and comfy restaurant located right opposite to the Bolton bus interchange. Had to order at the counter but all the staff members were very friendly, helpful and professional. Food was nice, especially the pepperoni pizza topped with a very generous amount of cheese. Their soup of the day was tasty too. It was vegetable soup, creamy enough to be a nice dip for the chips. P.S. love their choice of music. Their playlist featured a lot of songs of the Bee Gees, which did add some classiness to the vibe of the restaurant.

Olympus Fish and Chip restaurant never fails to impress, and my recent visit was no exception; the food was simply delicious. I indulged in their classic fish and chips, served with a side of peas and a generous portion gravy in a separate gravy jug. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a testament to their skill in frying, whilst the chips were golden and crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the succulent fish, and the peas were a refreshing accompaniment, adding a touch of greenery to the plate. But what truly sets Olympus apart is its staff. They were as fantastic as ever, living up to their reputation of being polite and welcoming. The service was nothing short of fabulous. From the moment I walked in, I felt like a valued guest. The staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant dining experience, making me feel right at home. Olympus Fish and Chip restaurant remains a go-to spot for delicious, traditional fare served with a smile. If you're in search of delectable fish and chips with exceptional service, this establishment is a must-visit.

Had the Scampi and it was delicious! Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought there was table service, but I had to order at the counter. It was extremely busy for a Monday and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for 1, as dud the party of 4 in front of me. Will definitely be back!

Lovely place. Came after an appointment I had elsewhere, I'm based in Manchester. Shared a fish and chips with a family member and had some filtered coffee. Good service and nice vibes. Would be nice to see the piano being played if I came again but in the evening.

Visited for lunch and had the salmon and cod special. We also had a bottle of Sauvignon. Food was excellent quality although the salmon I opted for was grilled and was slightly over cooked. Portion sizes are relatively small for the price in my opinion. The wine selection is small but the Sauvignon we had was unexpectedly good. We were welcomed at the door and informed to sit anywhere and someone would be over with a menu. The menu took a little time to make its way over. Overall, I would say the food is generally excellent and the wine is surprisingly good. Portion size is marginally below average. My negatives are critical but honest. Definitely recommend a visit however!

My first time here and I was most impressed with the stylish decor and friendly service. I was particularly taken with the conservatory, a light, bright and sunny room. Everything looked spotlessly clean including the toilets. A more extensive menu that I was expecting, not just fish and chips but pizza, moussaka and traditional desserts such as syrup sponge and custard. My only reservation were the chips, they were a good colour but not as crisp as I would have liked. They weren't soggy but soft. I had the homemade cheese and onion pie with chips and beans and I can definitely recommend it. My husband had the haddock and said it was delicious. They're also licensed so you can have a cheeky glass of wine or beer with your meal.

Called in for lunch with my 5 Yr old daughter. A gentleman saw to us straight away and let us choose our own table. The restaurant area was very clean. Tables were being cleared and cleaned immediately after customers finished and left. Restaurant decor had a 1970s retro feel, it also reminded me of a cruise ship dining area. Very popular with pensioners. Staff were very polite, attentive but not over bearing. I browsed the menu and was gobsmacked at the prices. £2.50 for a 330ml can of drink. £2.50 per extra ( gravy, peas, etc) I noticed you can get a large fish for over £20.. Anyway I ordered the Cod special (£13.00) and my daughter chose a kids pizza (£7.50) We were told the wait will be a little longer as pizzas were made from scratch.. Not a problem! The food arrived after about 10 minutes and looking at the portion size of my cod and chips, I thought they messed up and gave me a kids portion.. But no.. However... After eating the meal I think the portion size is just right for filling you up.. I would definitely not charge £13 for it though, that is scandalous. My daughters pizza was a good size and generously topped, She said it was very nice and she ate and ate until she was full up. Very impressed and worth the £7.50. Then we fought a wasp that wouldn't leave us alone and trapped it under an empty coffee cup. Overall. Food was tasty, staff were amazing, portion size perfect, prices are ridiculous. I'd love to go again but at those prices??? I can't. Shame.

I love this place. The staff are so professional, helpful and friendly. The pianist creates a lovely atmosphere playing the grand piano. The fish and chips are cooked to perfection - and the range of delicious ice creams makes for difficult choices. The Italian Cherry ice cream is my go to 😀

Staff are really friendly when they greet you. Lovely and clean restaurant. I had the fish chips and peas and it was delicious. Crispy batter on the fish, not greasy at all. Chips were proper chips and not frozen ones. I would definitely recommend coming here for something to eat, you won't be disappointed.

The best fish and chip shop in Bolton Town. Always excellent service and delicious food. I have been coming here since I was a young girl and it has never disappointed. The service is fast and always generous portions. (Their tartare sauce is fantastic - must ask for when ordering fish) Olympus is also spotlessly clean and always have a wonderful talented man playing the piano. The conservatory is also a wonderful place to dine with lots of natural light coming through, it just brings a nice vibe when dining in. It is also really family friendly, providing high chairs and the staff are always so kind to my children making everyone feel comfortable.

Wish we lived closer but we live in the Midlands . Seriously exceptional thank you too. Tasos Ali Andrew Joanne and Jayne all food arrived at the table hot well presented and you can also have an alcoholic drink from the bar. Great service all round. Thank you x

Excellent meal. We have not eaten here before, but will definitely be back. Every element of the meal was great. The star was the pizza, first class. The service is exceptional, how many restaurants open the door for their customers these days? The staff have obviously been trained, but more importantly seemed to want to be there. Toilets were very clean too, which is always a great indicator of the pride a restaurant has.

Very nice restaurant with traditional English cuisine. Food is absolutely delicious, tea is good. Coffee was not that great, but otherwise - amazing. Cozy interior, pleasant atmosphere, the cutest lady behind the counter cheered me up, special thanks to her😊 Would recommend visiting and definitely would come again myself.

Excellent chippy lunch. This was the Cod special. I added a touch of curry. That said it's not just a chippy, lots of alternatives available and open for breakfast from 9.30. Toilets as nice and clean as you can imagine.
