Great food. Great value. Friendly service. As a veggie, I relished the chickpea ratatouille. And Bolton Market's food hall is a convivial place to enjoy the experience

Been meaning to go for ages and finally got round to it today - I'm vegan so eating out can be tricky but no problem here. I had the chickpea ratatouille, rice, plantains and dumplings. If you want more heat you can have their chilli sauce ladled over everything...and obviously all their other dishes are meat or fish so there's plenty of choice for everyone. Loved it - really really tasty, wholesome food with quick friendly service too. Definitely will be back.

BEST food we have had in the UK! It's a treat to be able to have this food whilst in the UK. I go back to this restaurant almost weekly. No place I have eaten even comes close.

I love it, been going years, both my kids love the food too. Aged 4 and 1 they both weaned on it and prefer it to McDonald’s when asked what they want to eat, the answer is usually Alain’s rice.

Fabulous food perfectly cooked and great hospitality. That chilli sauce was hotter than Satans nob but thankfully much tastier. I'll definately be back for more.....

Not only do you get an amazing culinary esperance, but meeting Joe the owner with leave you with a lasting impression. With a louder than life personality and a loud booming voice!! Joe certainly holds a key presence in the market that's lieve you smiling..

Well we came to the market for the Great real ale bar "one for the road." Had a goat curry from Nkono. Ab Fab. Met the owner, what a lovely man. Described some of the other dishes and left us salivating. Never had Cameroon cuisine before but "please sir can I have some more.". Have to come back.
Need to say the people the food the service absolutely amazing. The service was great and the food was just the best I have ever tried soo good I had to get another portion to take home. Number 1 for me everyone needs to try

Lovely guy that runs it, fresh food, tasty and very reasonably priced for the big portions. I love how much vegetables he packs into all his dishes and if you like it hot try the lovely hot paste he makes.
We had the jerk chicken with rice, some chickpeas and the curry goat with rice and sweet dumplings.
Oxtail stew and jollof is so good and the chefs are the best around ! Perfect food for a birthday party 🥳 💛
Never will you eat more beautifully cooked food in Bolton than this chef serves!!!!
