What a little gem first visit and stopped whilst out on a cycle ride with a group of friends, very cycle freindly plenty of space to secure your bike. Next the service and food, both first class, polite and efficient. The food very good with a wide choice and as cyclist plenty of cakes. Definitely recommended and we will be back.

Booked for a surprise tea party for my Mum's 80th birthday today and had the most wonderful time. The communication from start to finish was flawless. The afternoon tea was absolutely wonderful - much love for the lightest scones ever and the delicious meringues. Thank you so much for making it such a special occasion. On another note, if you're looking for a quintessential English setting for your afternoon tea, this place is it!

Lovely cafe. Great place to stop on a bike ride (plenty of room to park bikes). Plenty of inside and outside space to sit. Nice friendly staff. Lovely Bacon roll (3 big rashers on tasty sourdough roll. Would highly recommend.

Just had a Friday night burger box and had to come and leave a review straight away, the food was that good! We had two beef burgers and one halloumi, and we all said how they were possibly the best burgers we've ever had! Generous portions and very reasonably priced, food was ready to collect on time and was red hot. The chips were perfectly cooked, the homemade coleslaw was amazing and the burgers were just super tasty! Thank you guys we will be back soon! Highly recommend!

Recently revisited. Has been extended and refurbished. Outdoor area is lovely with secure bike parking. Inside now much more modern but still cosy. On my latest visit they gave me 2 slices of walnut and pecan slice for the price of one, because they felt they were small👍 Update: visited on a (rare) hot day. Plenty of cyclists there. I asked for some water and was directed to a water dispenser sat outside under an umbrella. Shame they won't fill your bottle from the tap like most places do.

The best has got better. I'll be recommending the venue to my cycle club. Would still recommend letting them know if a typical group of cyclists (8-12+) intend to visit. Only fair. Visited with my cycling bud G and we had a spell of sun before expected rain so stayed outside. Lots of indoor and outdoor space. Attractive venue and area. Great choice, nice portions, friendly staff / owners. Well thought out. Plenty of room for everyone. Good sized car park for those who prefer. What is not to like. Very welcome after a cycle from Leeds and before the return leg.

Confused by menu. Why have a breakfast choice that will do just as well over lunch/brunch. Strange see-through teapot contraptions not necessary Always good quality food though and pleasant service. Just wish it was all kept simple and dare I say 'traditional'?

Lovely environment, cosy and stylish. Great attentive service. Food was lovely even though the melt could have been more than 1 slice for £8.

Lovely tearooms, excellent service. Stopped whilst out for a Sunday cycle and left bikes next to bench. Citronella candles to fend off the wasps and sun umbrellas meant could enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden perfectly. Also dog friendly :)

It was very popular on a sunny Sunday afternoon with cyclists and drivers alike. Set in the small village of Bolton Percy between York and Tadcaster it has a small car park, a nice seating area outside and is in a lovely converted farm building on a working farm. Lovely atmosphere, food and drinks. Would definitely return.

Very friendly staff, only had a pot of tea for two would have taken all day to drink.the good coming out to other tables looked very tempting but as we were on a walking trip we didn't want to fill up so early in the walk, have already spread the word about this place and will be going back next week in the car

Stayed for one night on the way to York and was extremely happy with our choice. Vicky and Henry are the most helpful and welcoming hosts. Their tea room and B&B are superb, maintained to a high standard with an excellent Breakfast. Would recommend anyone to stay here well worth it and great value for money.
